Think most of what you write falls into the irrelevant category Wildman , and its downright boring as well.
Save your energy and dont bother, nobody really cares.

The government are no longer even trying to hide their contempt for the no side. Aodhan O Riordan's appearance on tv last weekend was a brazen sign that he believes this referendum is already won and he is now moving on to the next battle in their attempt to destroy the social fabric of the country.

The shameful funding cut to Accord's maraige guidance courses were another signal to no voters that anything but following the consnsus will not be tolerated. Democracy has been set back 50 years in this country through by the actions of this government.

If a YES vote is returned how much will effect the No side in there every day to day lives? Very little would imagine .

Report workrider May 17, 2015 3:29 PM BST

I,d be surprised if it passed in Ireland?..but I may be wrong..
Report workrider May 17, 2015 3:43 PM BST
According to the polls they have a 77% chance of getting it passed , though they got it badly wrong across the pond recently..
Report kavvie May 17, 2015 3:48 PM BST
77% wr but the undecideds are a huge factor,a big % of them will vote no i think..my prediction is 55% /45% yes..
Report Ozymandius May 17, 2015 3:48 PM BST
Be the hokey, the 5/1 still is available in the bookies, despite the latest Opinion Poll suggesting it is going to the wire.

Thee will be some amount of pints drunk in Kilnaskully if NO weighs in.
Report Ozymandius May 17, 2015 3:50 PM BST
Where are ye getting this 77% from...that a long way out of date.

It'll be passed alright Tony, lot of money thrown at it and the media is very pro yes.
Report tony57 May 17, 2015 4:04 PM BST
Wildman says there's been a lot of money on it pa,..and like other votes money matters..you only have to see what we put up with over here 80%of press are in the pocket of Murdoch and the tories,..but im genuinely surprised that Ireland will pass it....we were happy enough with civil partnerships..they got equal rights in law..(which is right) but then Cameron pushed it and it passed....have to say..the world is the same..but I do understand people's apprehension..
Report pa lapsy May 17, 2015 4:14 PM BST
Impression i get Tony if you don't vote yes there is something wrong with you,you are viewed as backward and homophobic,a bit of pressure to vote that way is my opinion
Report tony57 May 17, 2015 4:36 PM BST
very sorry to hear that pa..im not trying to say yes or no but people should be able to vote without feeling pressure..i suppose its the younger people in Ireland that will vote yes..it seems the younger are more likely..
Report workrider May 17, 2015 4:57 PM BST
We have 166 elected members of our Parliment ,not ONE of themhave come out and said vote NO , every single one of them , yes I know its hard to believe , are saying VOTE YES .The good thing is people are starting to ask themselves , when have the Government ever been so UNITED on something , its starting to SMELL ...
Report tony57 May 17, 2015 4:59 PM BST

Report kavvie May 17, 2015 5:06 PM BST
theres 6 wr,,,  between dail and seanad  lots of minor celebritys who have no business commenting one way or the other advocating a yes vote..nauseating really!!

Report tony57 May 17, 2015 5:11 PM BST
seriously though ..that's very surprising..i think this may have more to do with how Ireland looks to the outside world? European law rights etc...I may be wrong but if its being whitewashed threw then it has to be political..

Speaking of The George, was in town with a few lads one Sunday afternoon aged 15 or so, looking to see where we could get served pints.

God Bless us, where did we land, in all our innocence, but The George.  They seemed delighted to see us Cry  Anyway, it was in the days of the Holy Hour or whatever it was called, when the bars shut for an hour on Sunday, but they told us, no bother lads, just slip on up those stairs there....you can drink away upstairs.

By this stage some of us were a bit uneasy, they were somehow over-accommodating and we made our escape.  Innocent times.
