Respect your opinion Swardean but in this instance disagree vehemently,I think Gleneagles is moderate enough doubt if he is in OBriens top ten two year olds.

Back to tonight Brooch looks an all in job.

Its almost an annual forum tradition that he Bismarks a 2 yo that goes on to great Classic success.

A fair eye for a throughbred.

No interest myself on this race , always a bit of a guessing game without evidence and question marks .  Seemed to win easily , not sure about the ones he beat , will have to wait until next run to assess the worth of the 2000 Guineas form .

You cant do ought but beat whats up against you though , well done the Ballydoyle set up .

Time might prove that 4/1 was a great price .  Well done anyone who kept that faith , have to wait and see .  Next run anyone ?

Seems to be improving all the time,How many Galileo's have previously won the Guineas?
Report dj876 May 4, 2015 10:28 AM BST
Frankel is the only other Newmarket 2000 guineas winner by Galileo although he is the grandsire of Dawn Approach.

Dubawi has had 2 recent winners in Night of Thunder and Makfi.

There was a more interesting prediction on that late summer thread which has proved to be as accurate as Gleneagles.
Report wildmanfromborneo May 4, 2015 10:54 AM BST
I never liked Gleneagles alright and managed to lay him at 3.45 ante post for the Guineas.

Rocketfingers has all my comments put by to be regurgitated when they turn out wrong.

Another recurring theme here is when old posts are recycled by one of the " Broons " it never reflects well on them.

The Roscommon thread is due for a reappearance but it shows how often I got these things right how few they can find.
It also is worthy of comment that the second part of the post is an all in recommendation Brooch that collected,Rocketfingers hadn't the wit to omit that bit.

Grin A spectacular own goal by RF indeed, you couldn't make it up.

To be fair Gleneagles looks some horse so to make a statement that he would not be in the top 10 of AOB was bewildering. It also showed why wildman looks so much up to pa" I'll give you a rick after it is well backed" Lapsy

Oh is Wildman getting all uppity for betting tipping up a long odds on winner, i'll give you that one Wildman well done my friend  Laugh
