I know the Italian kid is the retained rider but you would think if they didn't think quite a bit of this horse they would let him off having to travel to ireland for one ride in a handicap. In fact, with ponty and Windsor on in the UK it's highly significant he is over here for just one ride.
Thoughts?

Rotten hard card there, nice debut by Aggression,he travelled well but still a maiden at Dundalk where nothing has franked the form, fair rise in class today. Hard to fault Great Wide Opens win at Tipp last time, stay away race for me.
Be keeping an eye on Captain Power(no bet today) very eyecatching debut and looks one for the future.

Would worry about Captain Power over the trip and ground.
Great word for Father Frost in that race.
Good word also for Eisenhower in the sprint maiden.

OCallaghan is a trainer going placed.
Got a huge price for Aggression and a great new owner,Andrea Atzeni has just the one ride that will do me.

Ger Lyons lambasted Mallow for watering Saturday night,he went very public with it through social media, with parts of the course being described as good to firm and a few non runners i presume due to the ground it appears Ger may have been a bit hasty and his attack was very unjustified(?).

Good shout with the O'Brien horses Wildman.
Very underwhelming run from Captain Power, body language was awful.
Report The Gotchee April 20, 2015 7:14 PM BST
They have  described the ground as Good to firm in Cork knowing that Lyons is going ballistic over the watering. The times of the races, so far, suggest it is riding on the slow side of good ground. I suspect Lyons is right and the ground staff have issued the Good to Firm going report to save face.
Report pa lapsy April 20, 2015 7:26 PM BST
You're right Gotchee, they are slowish times,a very ham fisted way to get around this, how can they issue a ground report like that if it is far removed from the truth though? Saving face is no excuse as it is too misleading for punters particulary. All looking a bit smelly now.
Report triumphoragony April 20, 2015 8:05 PM BST
And why can't they have the low numbers nearest the rail  for the sprints then changing it for the longer distances!,,,,

Andrea the Italian kid, top notcher rider for top notcher outfit!
Report joevalue147 April 20, 2015 11:36 PM BST
It looked quickish ground though did it not??? The dust seemed to be flying in the first race rather than the mud!!!   Plain
Report pa lapsy April 21, 2015 9:14 AM BST
That was my first impression Joe,two different sets of time given,in the 6.45 racing post have given it slow by 2.72 secs whereas irishracing have given it fast by 1.36 sec. Big discrepancy and tend to go with the latter now myself. Ger has been very quiet since.
