What about fining JP Mac manus instead of fining the englishwoman. Gutless stuff from the cowardly stewards. We KNOW that trainers are told what to do by those who pay the bills
she gets away with murder always teeing one up for her owners at the expense of punters- like the horse the other night for her son in law (never put into a race before).

Unless the jockey has mastered the difficult art of "Strangling whilst looking like riding" he can count himself a tad unlucky,a 14/1 rag gets beaten by a well supported 2nd fav and the Stewards decide this is the one to exercise them and meanwhile it's going on all over the place all season, maybe it's a new get tough campaign.....

he had him dropped out and fair enough it looked like a stopping job for most of it.but he was riding vigourously(at least thats how it looked) from 3 out.if he was really stopping it surley he wud have ridden it into other horses or found traffic problems etc..i know people see jp ones being given "easy" ones regularly but this was a bad example to my eye anyway

Trainer Jessica Harrington and Jockey Mark Bolger have both lodged appeals against the decisions of the Tipperary stewards following the running of the Tipperary Supporters Club Maiden Hurdle last Friday. The Harrington trained and Bolger ridden High Tail It caught the attention of the stewards when finishing fast to take second place in the race and at a subsequent enquiry the pair were adjudged to be in breach of Rule 212.
Harrington was fined E1,000, Bolger was suspended for 7 days and ordered to forfeit his riding fee while the horse was banned from running for a period of 42 days.
Mrs Harrington has appealed the E1,000 fine and the suspension of the horse while Bolger has appeal both his suspension and the forfeiture of his fee.
The cheque from Kilmallock must have bounced.

A guess (or as he likes to call it a 'deduction') presented as established FACT by someone purporting to be in the know.
Cringeworthy.

I was at The Curragh on Sunday met someone from that stable,I told them ye would be mad not to appeal as I thought the horse tried.
Their reply was not allowed to and tab picked up by owner.
At the risk of upsetting the forum hothead I think they may have heeded my advice and gone against the norm.

Wildman I would be fairly positive about the fella your are talking about and he wouldn't know when he has enough ate.
How you think that horse tried is beyond me. Like all JP maiden hurdle runners he was out for the spin and jockey made a balls of it. It makes absolutely no sense for a horse from that operation to try and win a maiden hurdle in mid-April.

He started off wide and out the back, the usual telltale signs but when the race started to hot up Bolger went after the horse,he didnt just sit motionless,he rousted the horse along and he responded.
He flew by some tired horses and that's what the Stewards saw, that's why they acted, its also why they were run.

He went after the horse because he didn't want to get dropped after three out when the horse got a little outpaced. Not much point running if he wasn't going to get within the requirements for the run to count towards a mark. He obviously hadn't a clue about the horse he had under him though and he couldn't hide him up the straight despite there being a wall of horses in front of him.
Clear as day follows night he wasn't off. Just because you motion a little on a horse shouldn't excuse you getting hauled in when it's blatant what happened.

The hothead will rush to your defence Ozymandius but you don't seem to be able to differentiate between obvious skitting comments and serious ones.
I can't quite work out whether the Kate Harrington references are skitting or serious, fairly sure not complimentary to the lovely Katie.

Snob would cover yourself, you look down at your fellow countrymen.
You take every opportunity to denigrate Ireland and its racecourses.
Your preoccupation with toilets is worrying but if they offend you so why not go before you arrive at the track. Rocketfingrs needs to use toilets due to his nervousness I would have thought you were made of sterner stuff.
