The Mayweather-Pacquiao fight is expected to crush most of the current financial records for a boxing match, including gate ($20 million), PPV buys (2.5 million), PPV revenue ($152 million) and total revenue ($200 million). The MGM is scaled to generate roughly $74 million from tickets and the fight is expected to gross more than $400 million in revenue. It will be a record payday for Mayweather and Pacquiao with both fighters set to earn more than $100 million with the 60-40 purse split favoring Mayweather.

IM not sure who will win so i will look for value ,Pac man 7.6 to win inside the distence and 24/1 the draw are the 2 bets i have, As ozy says a few years to late but as a boxing fan i wouldn,t miss it for the world,.. The tickets for the fight haven,t gone on sale yet but on the unoffical markets 10k plus will be the asking price.

I thought Jennings was lucky to beat irish cubin Mike Perez last time ,You can back Jennings at 13.5 here if you want, The bet here is Kiltschko on pts, Your right about Jennings haveing a good chin.

PEREZ lost on a split dec ,a harsh point was taken away in the last rd by the ref which cost him to lose the fight, perez can look lazy in some rds which is why he should be meeting Klitschko instead of Jennings, Hope Perez can get his chance ,Ireland with a world heavyweight champ,now that would be something.

Thought he was supposed to have another WBC eliminater coming up in May but I don't see anything on oddschecker. The 'lazy' comment refered to out of the ring, I know he was finding it hard to get fights after winning Prizefighter but then he stopped training and semi-retired. Is he still based in Cork?

Russian Alexander Povetkin will face Cuban Mike Perez on May 22 in Moscow for the chance to challenge Deontay Wilder, the World Boxing Council have confirmed.
The bout is set to add more weight to the WBC cruiserweight title rematch between Grigory Drozd and Krzysztof Wlodarczyk which was recently announced to take place at the Ice Palace. Povetkin, a former WBA champion, has worked his way back up the rankings after surrendering his title to Wladimir Klitschko with stoppage victories against Manuel Charr and Carlos Takam, whilst Perez did likewise with victory over Darnell Wilson in California last February on the back of losing to Bryant Jennings. Those defeats remain the solitary reverses on both fighters' records as the big hitters square-off for the chance to meet undefeated Wilder after the American claimed the coveted green belt from Bermane Stiverne in January. Wilder went past four rounds for the first time in his career when picking up his first recognised belt and is now afforded a voluntary defense - which is still in the works. Povetkin and Perez are currently one and two in the WBC ratings, just above WBO mandatory Tyson Fury and former title holder Stiverne. Fury is in line to face the winner of Klitschko v Jennings which takes place in the next few weeks. |

Will many of our foremites be staying up to watch the big fight[ starting at 4.am sunday morning ] I know many people think the amount of money both men are getting is immoral ; and no doubt their right, it seems that Pacman has come a long way since he ran away from home when he was 11 because he caught his father eating his pet dog because there was no food in the house,

Fight is happening probably to late but looking forward to it. Mayweather would not take it as he taught manny was on the juice. Since that manny has no ko anyone. Boxing one of the worst sports for testing. I think its either may on points or if close a draw as mayweather has one more fight left.

I have watched both mens fights a lot over the last week and i find it hard to go against Mayweather, i also think Manny has regressed more then Mayweather in the last 2years or so. I believe some Rapper put a millon dollers on Mayweather ; i think he will be collecting, but i hope im wrong.

Did not see any of this , but it sounds like anyone who did got poor value . Not surprised , both ageing fighters , neither apparently has scored a knockout for 5 years ( reportage) .
The boxing promoters and fans have again proved they will always fall for the 3 card trick . Fight of the century ? Not even Fighters of the century so who dreams up the headlines ? Guess Rory didn't miss much , his scrap with Casey was far better sport , and it's still on going . |

Reading that Pac fought despite having torn a muscle in his shoulder in training . For those of you who like racing and boxing , ask yourselves what would be your reaction if Willie Mullins ran one of his horses and it carrying a known injury sustained in training approaching the race . He would be vilified .
Yet the boxing fans will not murmur a dicky bird . Falling for the 3 card trick which boxing often does . They always have , and always will get away with it . Those punters among us will just be annoyed that the training mishap was kept secret , but somebody will have known , wont they ? |

It may well have been Manny looking for a Doctor pre-fight for ''treatment'...i.e. the 'frog spawn re-spun souped up turbo plasma' that Mayweather always feared.
Amazing to think that the fight could have happened 5 years ago, if Pac Man had agreed to an itsy bitsy drug test pre-fight. They could have had 3 fights by now. Though after 2-0 Money, the public interest might have waned. |

As someone watching boxing for many years i thought Mayweather,s performence was a masterclass especially when you consider he is 38years old, the fight fans who expected a great fight will Disappointed , but i got the impression that Mayweather could have stopped Manny if he had to , he is a fighter who doesn,t have to take many chances if he doesn,t have to, one of the great fighters in my view.
