Fahey's in the first in Newmarket. Be really disappointed if this doesn't deliver today. Not a fan of the second or 3rd favs so only the boys in blue can stop it IMHO. The booking of Moore suggests they fully expect today

I find the combination of Charles Byrne and Ruby rater irresistible in the first at Limerick.
By:
Byrnes horse in the first is a total dodge. Unless she can win hard held she wont be winning at all.
By:
Ruby should have stayed in bed so.

By:
beautiful romance in 4.05 newmarket 4/1 seems fair

I think Ruby has learned his lesson about staying in bed too long.
Tricky cards all round today. Not a fan at all of Scorpions but the Henderson horse Might Bite (probably named after a trait of the horse given the sire) looks to have bags of ability. Will be disappointed if he doesn't win. The Fahey horse Akeed Champion in the first in Newmarket is very well thought of. Won't personally get involved at the price as there's a few potential dark ones. |

Crystal Pearl looks a steering job to me. Will find the ground a lot more to her liking today, and in any case wouldnt need to improve on the last day. Second fav proving v disappointing.

I got 2/1 last night for the nicholls runner in the last @Cheltenham, san benerdeto, has fair form in france run a decent henderson horse close on debut and hosed up nto @wincanton has top claimer taking 3lb off, if it gets round must be there in this field.

I am not sure what race those that laid her at up to 7.8 in running were watching.
By:
welldone to those who backed the winner..well done to oz..very confident..

Tony that Nicholls horse is a screw. He won't want to know about that hill.

Sacrificial looks a cracking bet in first at Leop. DKW has his string in superb form, but the market is assuming everything inclding the unraced things are machines. Gulf of Poets will need to run to a serious mark for a debutante to be at Sacrificial here.
Bolger yoke looks pretty poor, and APOBs aren't fancied at all. |
By:
I've laid Welds Gulf of Poet on the thinking that it will want either better ground or a shorter trip.
By:
Jesus, Keane and Smullen really cut each others throats there. Surprised they didn't get swallowed up.
By:
Well played Callit. Its likely the case that better fitness won out for Sacrifical but it wasn't much of a race all in all. The Weld horse may not improve a whole pile.
By:
No, very poor event I would say. He wont be winning off his mark.
By:
Would be a surprise if Ringside Humour was to be beaten in 5.55 Leop.
Admittedly there are a few in there that have the look of yokes that may prove better than their initial marks, but I am just coming to that conclusion because its hard to believe they are as poor as they have looked!! Something will need to find quite a bit of sudden improvement to trouble the jolly, and 2.6/7 looks perfectly acceptable to me. |

Congratulations on another exemplary afternoon's work, callit.
Proper racing thread imo. |
