With bookies only giving 1/5th the odds i wouldn't go as far as calling it a bet to nothing Punch, a tricky h/cap 11runners ? at least you know Bayan will be fit from the jumps. also 32k for the winner tells us they will all be trying. goodluck

Was over 4/1-9/2 on here last night for alright money and about evens a place for small money to me is an e/w bet to nothing,could have drifted over night but has been supported,at least a small interest on Good Friday

Neil....... 7 races in 12 months eh I don`t think so, and has won the most money any handicapper has ever won in handicap hurdle races in 12 months.

Weather he has the gears to win today I`m not too sure considering he hit`s a flat spot, and I don`t see much front runners, so expect him prominent.

Frank 7 races in 12 months come on......... The horse missed the break and raced wide, the pace was sedate and Musselburgh is track that is very hard to come from behind. And this horse has no gears,needs other horses to do work for him.

Don't know where that comment came from from myself, in fact i do, I was langers. What I meant to say is because of his stature and a and attritional style of racing, that the horse never has an easy race and that maybe just a month after another hard slog in France is too soon.
7 races in 12 months for a horse that hard on himself is about right. |

He had a very tough race in the Ladbroke and I would say it has left it's mark. I think the connections were trying to be clever, bypassing Cheltenham for a run in Paris and today they tried to pick up what they thought was a handy pot. Where will they go with him next?

French style hurdles in that ground would have been very hard work for him as well Gotchee.

You are right neill, that French trip in the heavy ground probably took a lot out of him as well. In hindsight,I wonder would they have been better off going to Cheltenham and Liverpool?

This horse takes his races very well, Elliott is a master getting them ready for the big day. The thing about today`s effort is very simple, slowly away 4 wide into the first turn, a sedate pace, he always hits a flat spot, this venue did not suit and could never get in touch like every other horse that raced in the same position.
Nothing to do with over the top. I have watched every race this fellow has ran around 10 times and every race he comes off the bridle at halfway. If you do the same you will have the same profile on him as I do. The Gotchee (like I have a profile on Focus On Venice, soft ground not for him, but you wouldn`t know that.) |

buthelezi had previously been beaten by nautilus in a class 2 race last season, i notebooked that winner
of that race and is on this years list. yesterdays winner went off 5 x the price of the fav, from a form view point and value, it was a poor selection. |

That`s the difference between people........... you take that form and speed figure on soft ground and you think horses go on soft when they are stepped-up in grade. Tom Dooley was just behind are you sure that form is what you want to bring forward for that race last Sunday eh dont think so. Here is a saying to keep in your head." Just because they win in soft doesn`t mean they go in soft ground"
