The first horse would be a lay most days only there is an absolute dearth in opposition.
Cyprian Prince looks to have ability and has shown it in smatterings. If he repeated his eyecatching run behind Free Expression he would probably be a lock and certainly a right e/w punt. The break since is bit of a concern but its such a shocking race that I have chanced him.
Ffos Las is very much a horses for courses track. While Flintham hasn't actually ran there it's not hard to envisage him thriving out in front around the Welsh moors. If he repeats his Ascot run before Christmas he will win a minute.

Case of false alarm CMIYC I'm afraid. Initial reports of a bumper showing plenty in its work have been clouded by a further report that it's not so hot after all. I'll be staying out of it.

Interesting money for se vende in the 1st race, 20's into 10's. Would be interested in any of p2p experts view on him, his first run @ Kilmallock where he fell @ the last looks very good form on paper.
I've backed aklan in the 2nd race. He has been a bit frustrating I suppose but I would forgive him his last run, a few of the mullins horses ran poorly around that time. His previous run when 2nd to elliot's horses looks quite good now in light of his 2nd @ Cheltenham. 9/4 is generous imo.

Looks that way pa alright. I thought the track might even be a bit sharp for him before I saw how bad the ground was. Captainofthefleet looks another one who will be suited by the strong test of stamina in that race.

Has an enquiry been called into the riding of Cairde Aris.
I assume there will be if the stewards have eyes at all.
Wildman argues that jockeys should never be banned, but Andy Mac put up a strong case to refute it there.

Cairde Aris started off last and on the wide outside. This was his third run in a maiden hurdle so presumably the Brave Inca route is the plan, get handicapped go back and win your bumper then collect in the handicaps.
The handicapper who doesn't review races should just not give him a mark, tell Kiely when he tries he will get a mark.
Andrew McNamara found himself getting into the race at the second last bend so he eased off and pushed Cairde Aris even wider allowing the favourite poach another six lengths.

You can't do that anymore. It was changed after Brave Inca. I've looked at old horses form from years back and it appears you could run in handicap chases or even on the flat prior to running in bumpers. Obviously there must have been age restrictions and what have you in may of them to protect young NH horses. Still they were far different events previously.

Good call on Flintham Tell The King.Amazingly tough family which is even more amazing when you look at the dam sire whose progeny would not have been noted for toughness.
Terrible ground in Mallow today. The only reason Andrew Mc got as close as he did was because of racing on much the best ground whether he realised it or not at the time. The later races gave a fascinating insight into the collective lack of brainpower of trainers/jockeys.Katie Walsh hacked up in the amateur riders race coming wide...4 jockeys in the 3 mile handicap came miles clear of the 3 who kept to the inner. One would think at this stage that the penny might drop but no.At least a third of the field in the 5.40 stuck to the inside/middle with the 2nd and 3rd being ridden wide outside the whole way round. This failure to spot the obvious highlights why some trainers/jockeys simply don't have enough common sense to be any good at what they do.No coincidence that Katie and Ruby were among those who spotted the bias earlier than most.

Of course it crossed my mind!!I decided it would be giving them too much credit!Anyway the number of horses not off in handicaps is quite small anyway.
