If you can run for a 70 minutes at a medium pace and hit people off the ball you'll always get a game of gaelic at any level, so for me no surprise.

Galvin was a very good footballer , unfortunately he was not inclined to keep his cool and let his boots do the talking exclusively .

However he might still be fit enough to play a part in Kerry football , and if the Gooch is also sparking they are going to be hard to beat . Donaghy looked like he was still enjoying his football on Sunday vs Dublin .  Kerry might just have a lot of options come September that other teams would give their eye teeth for .

Dublin without Cluxton and McAuley did not look the part on Sunday .

Was impressed with the foreword of his book that I read in the Sindo. He is very articulate but i wonder if 'being Paul Galvin' isn't as lucrative as he thought it would be and he needs this to stay relevant.

As good a 20-40 yard kick passer as there is in the game at the minute. Hard-working but also a very tidy player who rarely coughs up ball.

Best "man to man" marker in the game ....Great to see him back.....

yeah he's handy for that as well and if he manages not to get sent-off in the process it gives the rest of the lads a handy breather.

Galvin was an underused asset in the Kerry set up when in his prime . Whether that was down to Paul or to other circumstances will probably never be decided .  People I know down in Kerry always had the highest regard for him as a player , he could "run " games at will .  Evidence was though in the Kerry shirt he did not achieve as much as his talent decreed was possible .

Anyway , welcome back to the fold .  Talent is always welcome  , just a question of harnassing it for the greater good .

An average footballer who won his 4 all Irelands against mediocre mayo  and cork teams x2,Wasnt to be seen along with the gooch when they come up against Armagh or tyrone.think neill d is correct when he states that this career attention seeker has to stay relevant following the flop of his book and his tv fashion disasters

Galvin wasn't on the panel when Kerry lost to Armagh that year (or Tyrone the next). They could have done with a scrapper like him in that game.

your right about Armagh Freddie but im near sure he played against tyrone in 2003 semi final, the 2005 final and he captained the team in 2008 when tyrone beat them easily

Naah, first year was 2004, won Sam that year. I was at the 2003 game, he wouldn't have made much difference!

Not often i agree with Freddie but he is right about the 2003 semi final richters.
