This new Land League protecting some millionaire from having his trophy house taken away from him.

I despise the banks and what they have done but this house in Killiney is not one to fight over.

Protect the unfortunates who have nowhere else to go.

Hope they touch on the cost of credit as it is as relevant as anything else for the rest of us.

What a  cheek to abuse the term Land League -it's a travesty to compare what's going on in Killiney to what happened in Ireland in the 19th cent.
I hope this nonsense can be swiftly resolved -but my first move would be to cut off power and water and smoke these rats out by whatever means.

It is well said, you gamble and lose you can't blame someone else but in this day and age it's the done thing.
Meanwhile T D Anne Ferris gets 25k instead of 9k by going the long way to work(19.5 Kilometers is well inside the 25 Kilometers zone for the 25k),a "true" patriot.
Richard Boyd Barrett claims 12k for travelling the 12 kilometers for his work. A funny one though as he gives a good whack of his 92k salary to "causes" though maybe the causes should include better public transport links from where he lives to his work.
Fine examples and sure there are plenty of others.

Land League Cottage is near enough to that house.

Its a scandal that these gentlemen are besmirching Michael Davitt name, they have to have been dropped.

Seems to me that the whole crux of yer man O'Donnell's hard done by act is that they didn't get the "best" price for his assets when disposing of them. However I'm sure I read somewhere that a liquidator is under no obligation to wait on for the best price, eg. they are entitled to take 60 million rather than wait a year for 80.

Signing the house over to put it beyond the reach of the bank just as the **** was about to hit the fan is comical, think they can invalidate that if it was less than 2 years before your trouble or something similar.

He still has his career and his contacts, has lost at every turn so maybe it could be time to go out in a dignified manner and accept that period of his life is over(aside from what he siphoned off). The embarrassment of last night must be a decent second to the monetary loss, unless they really have no shame.
