Vautour concerns evaporate for Mullins

ANY concerns Willie Mullins may have had over Vautour appeared to evaporate after the trainer expressed himself "very happy" with how the JLT Novices' Chase favourite worked after racing at Leopardstown on Saturday.

Vautour, a top-priced 11-4 for the JLT, did not please his trainer entirely when winning at the track in January but Mullins can go to Cheltenham happy after the workout with Racing Post Arkle favourite Un De Sceaux and Betfred Cheltenham Gold Cup hope Djakadam, who appeared to work especially well.
"The horses worked over about 1m4f and jumped a few fences," Mullins said.
"Vautour and Djakadam jumped very well. Un De Sceaux I was happy with too. Vautour was very good today [jumping]."
Gordon Elliott worked his entire team of Cheltenham horses, including Ryanair Chase favourite Don Cossack and No More Heroes, a leading hope in the Albert Bartlett Novices' Hurdle. They worked over about 1m4f, extending in the final two furlongs.
"I'm happy with all of them; all the lads seemed happy," said Elliott.
"Don Cossack looks a million dollars and Shane McCann was happy with No More Heroes."
Hidden Cyclone, who has options in the Betway Queen Mother Champion Chase and Ryanair Chase, and Sky Bet Supreme Novices' Hurdle outsider Bentelimar were others to work after racing.
With conditions extremely windy as the evening progressed, some trainers opted to forego the chance to school their horses.
