Strange Willie putting him back over hurdles , I would have thought he was happy enough over fences ..Wille obviously feels he has a good chance in this , still I would have thought he had others to contest the likes of this ...A tip in itself if it runs ...Discuss...
slick will you ever fcuk off and leave the guy alone.he puts up a perfectly sensible thread and you come up with that sh1t...have u any view on anything?

Arkle , he won a G3 at either Cork or Lim this year , beating Mallowney no less , so yes he can win over the bigger ones ,so interesting Willie pitching in here over hurdles...

Agree Frank , but they have dropped him to his right level now ,I thought he was in with a great chance myself at Chelt last year , yes he did disappoint but lowering their sights might be the making of him , if you look at what Mallowney has done since it makes him worth a punt in this...

Gave 6lb as well to Mallowney,3 lths off Balder Success and ahead of Champagne Fever last year at Punchestown is a cracking run, wonder has he had a problem since the Hilly Way?. With his rating(hur as well) should be as near as you get to a good thing. That the race is worth only 13k to the winner is a funny one,lay off would put me off a bit as well but would be very slow to go against him.

I was waiting for Mallowney to win a nice few bob that day[in doubles and a treble] i still cant believe Felix caught him, http://www.attheraces.com/VideoConsole/?va=COR_2014_12_07_04_1415&vaff=16

Looks as if Felix is my nap tomorrow , on ratings alone he is a standout although you can never trust them , if it was the case you'd simply back all the top rated , the fact Willie has decided to run him here makes my mind up ..Another who I find myself leaning towards is Fort Smith , now this fellow comes with flaws aplenty , but his run in blinkers the last day seemed to be a turning point , Cooper got after him with a couple of backhanders early on which seemed to put his mind to it ...The treble is completed by Sizzing Granite who's form has been enhanced and who De Bromhead is said to think highly of... Good luck all punters...

I've been a big supporter of Felix Yonger in the past but I'd be wary of backing him at around the even money mark tomorrow. He has obviously had a setback since beating Mallowney or he wouldn't be running here. A race I'll be leaving alone, like most of tomorrow's card.
One bet I've had is Sir Scorpion 16/1 in the handicap hurdle. Showed improvement on his last start and is surely better than 104. On debut he finished second to Moon Racer and ahead of Turcagua and Tycoon Prince. I doubt he's anywhere as good as those sorts but of 104 he won't have to be. Tomorrow may not be the day but I'm sure there will be a day.

There's a lot of over the hill/out of form horses running in the handicap chase tomorrow @ 3.50, sadlersfleure and she's got grit are probably the exceptions and I've decided to back she's got grit.
I'm asssuming she wasn't fit last time when well beaten @ Mallow on her first run back, this is usually the way with this trainer.
She had a productive year last term winning a couple of good pots and finishing 2nd in a valuable mares race @ peerless punchestown.
She's probably better on good ground but she has won on heavy so hopefully the ground won't bother her. She's still ahead of her mark imo and 9/1 is very generous. Good luck all.

It's quite clear he has had some sort of setback ....if he hadn't then he would have ran before now....the hurdles run is clearly a prep for chasing runs in fairyhouse and punchestown and maybe even Liverpool .... What it boils down to today is .... He wins If he's fit enough .....

Not my kind of odds now with the n/rs , think I'll give the meeting a miss as well ...Several odds on shots and a bad support card ..Typical end of season for Leopardstown ...

I never like backing horses going from fences back to hurdles.
Blue Hell looked like he was going to hose up last time out. He was last off the bridal but faded to finish fifth at the business end of the race. That was his first run since May so he more than likely needed the run. He should make a bold bid today
Mallards in Flight (e/w 14/1) has run very well in this grade but her two most recent runs have been less inspiring. She has been dropped 6lbs and wears blinkers for the first time with the added bonus of Paul Carberry on board. I am hoping this new combination will bring her back to her best form which will be good enough to win

"Felix Yonger (Ruby) reverts to hurdles in the Ballsbridge Hurdle over 2m 2f. He won a chase at Cork in December but had a little setback after that. These race conditions really suit and, if this is not coming too soon after his hold-up, it could be a nice opportunity".

Slabster , another fantastic pick on this thread well done ,had NORN in my ear as they raced towards the last ,think I'll be needing a hearing aid soon , he burst my eardrums with his roaring , a smashing thread for winners...

Slabster puts up a great post with his recommendation of Sir Scorpion at 16/1,he is backed up by the forums Richard Hadlee.
New Approach puts up She's Got Grit a decent 7/1 winner.
The Gotchee is on the ball again with his long shot Mallards In Flight but onlly placed.
Workrider much to the chagrin of the negative Slickster lands his nap.

Great thread.... Both wonks and catchmeifyoucan came up with a nice 4/6 shot each.... Funny how there's something wrong with a 4/6 sports bet.... But a horse winner at 4/6....that's a different matter...
