Malaysia

Danny Willett 16/1 Boils. money back if joint 2nd/3rd. Superb course form and is putting in consistent top performances.
Kitadech Aphibarnrat 65s  A previous winner here and after a poor 2014 he is back playing well.
Tommy Fleetwood 65s Overpriced in this field.

Westwood's putting was as erratic as ever in Dubai. Wouldn't trust him at 6/1.

Farmers insurance Open

Long gone are the days of Tiger going off 6/4 shot here. Shows how important the short game is when you see the numbers he put up last week. And this a course where the short game will be key.

3 fancies at decent odds.

Harris English 65s Nice round to finish on Sunday and is on the upward curve.
Bill Haas 40s He plays these formats well. Thought 40s was generous.
Phil Mickelson 34s Forgive him last weeks effort and think he can get involved here.
Keegan Bradeley 65s Good combo of big hitting and tidy short game.

Others I considered ; Gary Woodland & Jason Day. Both look priced about right.

Justin Thomas 2015 going well with T6 at the Sony, T7 at the Humana and T17 last week.
His only start in the Farmers was last year (made 19 birdies) when he was T10.

WILL WIN SOON (I hope not this week).....one to follow like my man 'Speith'less.

It looks wrong but he will need a few months at least by the look of lastweek

Pad,
yeah, like KJ Choi 2011 Players Champ - a grinder - fits the horses for courses - last four at Torrey was T15, T29, T9 and T2 in the last five years.
His 66 on the South Course on Sunday last year was the low round of the week. His back-to-back finishes in his last two suggest he’s cracked the code after 13 tries.
He was T44 at Sony and T22 last week so he’s trending curve is up.

@padlock

or minutes.. have you not seen Tin Cup?

Just notice he is playing the easier north course on Thursday. Could be any easy back to lay opportunity knowing how the golf market reacts to Tiger making a couple of birds.

True but didn't look like a birdie machine lastweek ,that said I did put a tenner on at 55 as it looked insane, probably should be another 0 at the end but he will shorten big time if it looks like he is getting better

Have added KJ choi @ 80/1 instead of the withdrawn DeLaet. Agree with padlock and catchme, has strong course form. I backed him a good few times last year when he often played well without winning. It's been a good while since he has got his head in front, I'd say he is due a win this year.

Andy Sullivan seems to face a soft 3 ball, beginning shortly.

Matteo Mannessero has some cracking form around here, but he is playing worse than Tiger at the moment, not getting near to a round of 70. Anirban Lahiri has never shown any aptitude for the venue, and didn't show much 3 weeks ago back off his Xmas break.

Sullivan is in top notch form, and though its his 5th week on the trot, that will be more of an issue if in contention come Sunday. With an axe to grind here after throwing away a winning opportunity here on Sunday last year, he can be expected to get off to a good start.

4pts Andy Sullivan 3 ball 5-4

.3pt e.w Jinas Blixt 250-1
.3pt e.w Shane Lowry 125-1

Both should thrive under the tougher conditions this week. Blixt out of form at moment, but has never been consistent. Lowry under rated by market, assumably due to his abscence. Both have more chance of victory than plenty priced at shorter than them.

The South course is much tougher interesting to see who shoots low there. Justin Thomas starts at the North Course, he will be playing a high iron on most second shots on Par 4,5 and if he can concentrate on the putting he can do well.

Manna seems to be totally gone at the game Kelly.

Thomas looks a cracking prospect Easy. Has had hiccups the last few Sundays in contention, but admirable the way he has bounced back both later in the round, and then again the following weeks. He will be here to stay.

Done some combination multiples on this evenings 3 balls. All their opponents have various reasons to be opposed today.

Shame Sned didn't read the script.

Some amount of big names missing the cut. Very interesting weekend ahead. Harris English having seemed like he had what it takes, has shrivelled under pressure of late. The likes of Nick Watney haven't done it in awhile. And the big names like Day and Walker have their own 'bottle' issues to deal with.

Great to see Shane make the cut. Hopefully he has a good weekend.

It's only a 21 man field left imho so backed Berger, Poulter & JB for cover (they all scored well yesterday on the South)...
and IN AGAIN with half the stable on 'muni' course winner at Bethpage Black with a tough grinding two days to play.

Brandt Snedeker looks good bet today at 6-4. It's rare he goes a week here without going low, and out early from well off the pace, it sets up nicely for today being the day.

3pts Brandt Snedeker 6-4 3 ball
Report Catch Me ifyoucan February 7, 2015 3:23 PM GMT
Just a word of caution Keegan playing the South course par 5's a tad better ?

That's a great 3 ball Day, Walker & Poulter to follow for the day in Torrey.

GO GO GLOVER ! Cool

Could be entertaining night ahead. 11 under will def be good enough to get a playoff, and a chance that even 10 might be. Watney was steadier than most last night. If he could hole a birdie putt or two tonight, he might take the beating.

Ah, he was right to go for it with second shot. The 3rd shot in to that par 5 is full of risk. With the shot he played, he just had to go full throttle, less nerves in that type of shot. Just unlucky really. Hopefully Holmes misses his drive. 17 definitely a bird op though first, if hit the fairway.

Be sick to go down by a shot after Wieberger earlier. And Watney and Lowry tied 7thCry

Great shout on English Apple. Returning to form.

Cracking week from Shane, he will be delighted with that.

Bloody good week alright, could have been a cracker had Wiesberger not cracked. Just glad I hadn't doubles done this week. Would have been rightly sick. To be fair, everything went right for Day in the latter stages, he couldn't afford one missed putt.

Swings and roundabouts.

Very much so. I  think Augusta will really suit. Like Spieth and Blixt proved last year, past experience is not absolutely essential if you have the right game for it. Shane should be in his element there. Would be superb if he was in contention come Sunday.
