Kimmage is fantastic value and a great sports writer. Brendan O'Conner isn't really a sports fan and I think that came over a bit. I think the nuance of the argument was a little lost on and he was trying to slow the guest down.... possibly for fear of litigation.

Kimmage is a clown. The worst thing that happened him was Armstrong admitting his guilt. There was a significant reduction in column inches and airwave time after that.
As regards the rugby 'problem', I'm not a rugby follower (I watch the Six Nations but would take no interest in the Champions Cup or the Magners League) .... I would reckon there is no more a problem in rugby than any other team sport .... e.g. football, NFL, basketball, hockey, etc. What really turned me against Kimmage though was his participation in the rugby debate a few weeks ago on RTE. Victor Costello and Padraig Harrington were on as well. Harrington stunned him into silence at one stage and Kimmage lost the plot completely attacking all round him and then resorted to swearing .... not what you'd expect from a top professional like he's supposed to be. The part where Harrington takes him apart is below. If you could find the bit where he loses the rag, it'd turn you against him too. http://balls.ie/rugby/padraig-harrington-stunned-paul-kimmage-silence-yesterday/ |

Knew Kimmage was doing some research into rugby , but I don't buy the publications he frequents . The evidence though re players sizes is there before our eyes every match , and the reference to sleeping pills is I suspect relevant . Far away from home at present , may have to resort to keeping up to date via internet etc .
