This the best you could come up with wonkatonk? Hardly a working mans price
By:
This is long odds on to be O'Hehir's nap tomorrow wonks......
By:
I have to agree W.R. If he stands up he wins.
By:
This is a horse I think will do the business Snapper , if it is evens then I deem it a great bet ..Hense the word NAP is used ...Maybe you'll pm your mates with it ,then come on and gloat how wonderful you are ,and that you recieved it from the BOYS IN BLUE or somesuch ..Why not put up one to beat it ..BEFORE THE RACE PLEASE...
By:
Altiepix will probably be his nap,it will also be mine.
You still don't get it OHehir is a journalist not a tipster, the tipping is a secondary matter,he is also a great commentator. If you want tips follow Pa Lapsy or become one of the Crispian St Peters. Snap have you any opinion on the card ? |
By:
wonks a yankee doodle dandy , yankee racing is his game ![]() |
By:
For God sake TUBBY , give it a rest ,you are the first on here giving out about people making a mess of threads , yet here you are claiming first prize ...
By:
I'll stick to doing my own work wildman. Well he certainly "tips" in the Mirror. I have already said he is a decent commentator BUT YOU CANNOT KEEP ON "NAPPING" 1-5 SHOTS!!!
By:
The 2 horses mentioned are the 2 shortest on the card, so naturally enough, will be Peter's "nap" and "nb".
By:
OK Boychild , heres a wonderful oppertunity to show him what he SHOULD nap ..don't waste such a chance ...
By:
No opinion on the card wildman, looks very poor fare there tomorrow.
Will be focussing my attention on Lingfield and Kempton. Far better opportunities lie in wait at those meets. The Crispians will be swaffing champagne again tomorrow evening imo. |
By:
It wouldn't kill him to nap a 5-1 shot now and then wonks would it? He may get lucky from time to time and garnish a modicum of respect.
By:
Come on Snap you have to have some opinion.
Would you be a layer or a backer of the two short ones tomorrow ? |
By:
Think they will both oblige wildman but at the likely odds will gladly let them win as won't represent any value imo. Wont be having any play on the card for sure.
By:
Someone, should come on and say the 3 miles is not a "gimmy" and if that is correct Thunder will push him.......... but his class will get him to 2m6f no problem after that it`s not certain, Evs I would rather watch it. Hope this helps.

By:
Thanks Snap.
Balbir De Mathan had Thunder And Roses well held when he fell in Fairyhouse, was beaten by a good one in Leopardstown Le Vent D,antan. Similarly Altiepix run behind Alpha Des Obeaux in Punchestown far and away the best form. A fair double for me. Zipporah won so easy at Thurles can't see that 9 pound penalty stopping this mare. |
By:
Thought Zipporah was given a very soft lead last time,be a bit worried if someone takes her on,she might burn them again but it would be my question mark there.
Was equally impressed with Glen Ode at Thurles as well last time,he should defy his penalty as well if he gets around, mistakes 3 and 4 out there were fairly alarming and that is the worry. Still didn't turn a hair, win but pl lay/faller insurance would be nearly right with him. |
By:
Blazing West in the mares hurdle might be worth a bit of interest E/W at a big price. Her form stacks up well against the best of these. There is very little between the first 4 or 5 in the betting. Hopefully she will be about 14/1.
By:
Agree Pa Lapsy, Glen Ode was one of the easiest winners I have seen recently. Should start very short.
By:
Hello Mordin,11/4-3/1 at the moment, his mistakes last time are a fair worry all the same.
By:
does this balbir horse want 3 miles. ?? looking at previous form i just wonder if the horse is making mistakes towards the
end of a race through tiredness ( but you will know more than me ). enjoy the irish racing thread ( when its kept to horses ) ![]() . good luck anyway. |
By:
Balbir should hack up here you'd think, think he is pretty talented and like the way he travels in his races. Big price tag which is pretty standard for the owner but I'd be surprised if he didn't develop into at the very least a high lever handicapper. Thunder and roses isn't the most resolute himself so can't see him needing to go to war here.
By:
Agree with pa re Zipporah in the 2.45 - joke race the last day when given a very easy lead
King Blue for me - close 2nd to Mydor(who won snugly enough at the weekend) here 3 weeks ago Gl |
By:
Careful Lads, Evs on a doubtful stayer.......... and I have a problem with his attitude when push comes to shove. I think there is better Ev money shots out there.
By:
Old time melody will have a good e/w chance in the 2.45, the extra 2 furlongs will be a big help.
By:
On what basis are ye calling Balbir Du Mathan a doubtful stayer,no sign of him stopping at Leopardstown.
Again how do ye make out Zipporah got an easy lead in Thurles, its not as if she was gifted a start. I accept though that if something takes her on she could be in trouble but that's true of any front runner. |
By:
On Elliot's shorties.....Alteipix, Fragrant Mix has pretty iffy stats at the trip....only 5%... Also Fairyhouse not a great front runners track IMHO
Balbir du Mathin, Saints Des Saints is 18% at 3 miles but has a very impressive 25% strike rate when the word heavy appears in the going description |
By:
Thought she increased her lead from around 8L to nearly 20L with minimal effort with just over a circuit to go Wildman, maybe a bit over critical of the jocks behind(some were niggling after a few flights as she went off fast tbf),brilliant ride all the same from Ricky Doyle, always like to see trailblazers do well but doubt she will get as much rope today in what looks a slightly harder race.Good opinions here so far on the card today.
By:
Wildman......... ur talking about an Even money shot??? go ahead with ur bet.......... makes no difference to me. If u think evs is value go ahead.
By:
I want to back this one you napped wr..just think its touch short?..i,ll decide at the off..whatever happens hope it flys in for you
By:
Wildman....... hope you didn`t lose too much????????
By:
Why on earth would you decide at the off soft lad? What is going to make up your mind for you at the off? The way the jock looks on the horse? How many times the horse takes a turn at the start? Flipping a coin? Don't get that, surely it is better to have a price that if the horse goes to you will be prepared to play.
By:
You can depend on Paul Nolan to know when he has good one......
By:
can you read you ponce?price is a touch short..i,ll wait till the off..anyone with a brain my think...it could be bigger..if its not..i,ll proberly leave it?..anyway..whats it to do with you?..we never see you say you back a horse ffs?
By:
"Can i read","Wait till the off"? IS not i want a bigger price !! It is clearly not what you meant soft lad.
By:
whatever you say..im in no mood for you today.
