I think the drift from Evens to 2/1 suggests the participation is in doubt.  Lads still 2/1 (perhaps for about another 2 mins) everyone else shortening to 6/4.

Good luck if you got on at 2s or bigger AND if its a non runner

Henderson has said hes worried about the ground..thats why the money has come for the nicholls horse..Henderson just said,he may wait for the game spirit @newbury but the ground may just be as bad...reading between the lines ..the horse must have a run..he wont go straight to chelts, Henderson will wait till Saturday morning before a decision is made..

It will surely be a worry if SS doesn't show on Sat. Regardless of the excuse put forward, its another excuse. I was told before Xmas that he was moving so poorly, that they were very close to drawing stumps and retiring him. I know he subsequently had that gallop at Newb, but the finer details of that gallop will not be known by us.

And though Hendo declared himself very happy with it, Hendo has declared many a lie, and considering how non committal he has been since, SS may not have come out of it too well??

I hope he runs on Sat, and hope he hoses up, but I will believe it when I see it(or see him)

That alone should give you pause to think, Wonks.  This is not typically a very forgiving place, now is it?

Have it on good authority he is more likely not to run than he is to run callit

callit I just heard Henderson getting interviewd..hes worried about heavy ground..the horse will not run if the ground is heavy..they will wait for 2wks..if the ground is wrong again..the horse will miss the festival..and then your looking at Aintree punch.

Yeah, and then there be another problem Tony. Starting to seem like the bird that doesn't want the leg over....excuses, excuses, excuses!!

So did he say he wont go Chelt without a prep?

Surely somewhere has half decent ground and can put on a race if Hendo assures him he is ready? Has been done before.

I would think a lay at 3.3 for the Queen mother is the bet now,

Probably is Frank. But I would love see him back there strutting his stuff, so couldn't do it.

Even if he does Callit there no way he will be as good as he was, Twinlight who i thought put up a great run last time is due to run in SS race on SAT,  he might just be a good outsider for the Queen mother.

whether this wins or loses today one thing is proven and that is that snap is just a guesser and wants to pretend he is "in the know" when he clearly isnt.

Wonkatonk, the beast was never advised as a play at 13/8.

You seem to have trouble in following even the simplest of threads.

Read below mate , you said it was 13 /8 now and you HOPED someone got the 2/1 ..18.42 14/1/15 ...You mug , read your own thread , even allowing for the mythical 2/1 on that day , getting back to the present , what are your followers to do NOW Snapper ..I believe you TOPPED up at 5/2 , do you suggest your crew follow suit...Fact is you named a horse a NAP theres that word again , you had it on good AUTHORITY the fav would NOT run ..Come on Snapper what PART of your post is the TRUTH ....

Don,t know why the opening post was removed.
Think i'd like to see SS win,he is a modern day great. Rated 23lb better than the next best and also good record after a lay off,the odds against are nearly tempting me. Think (and it is possible) that going against him you are relying a fair bit on him pulling up. Hard not to be with him all i9n all.

Agree Pa hes an awesome animal , and would love to see him back to his best , horses like him are what racing is all about ,getting back to the point of this thread , I wish the OP would do us all a favour and stop his act of trying to get people to believe hes some sort of Pro Gambler and just add his fancies to the racing threads that appear here most days..I think the forum would have more respect for him  , as it is , most have only pity...Off to Naas soon doubt i@ll spot any world beaters ,but you never know...
