It's disappointing to see the media painting this affair out to be a freedom of speech. It has very little to do with freedom of speech and a lot more to do with muslim extremists hatred of the western culture. Obviously this magazine was targeted due to their cartoons, but even if they had not printed these, it is very likely these extremists would have committed some atrocity anyway like they did when they brutally murdered in London.
It was sickening to hear some sunday indo journalist on twiiter comparing it to gerry adams comments about journalists a few months ago when he talked about michael collins holding journalists at gunpoint. These incidents had no correlation whatsoever and it was disgusting to see the terrible attrocities in Paris hijacked to once again try to throw dirt @ Sinn Fein and Gerry Adams. |
By:
The reality is when you have murdered and conspired to murder innocent civilians in cold blood you are very open to having dirt thrown at you.

Pathetic scenes from Paris, those marching won't do anything, just go home and fool themselves into thinking Islam is the religion of peace and carry on appeasing.
The only person who is prepared to do something was asked to stay away. |

By:
I really think this could backfire dramatically of the finatics , a little bit like the Gerrin case here , little was been done about the criminals ..As soon as the journalist was shot ,up sprang C.A.B...The finatics will lose the support of the liberal left ,except their good Irish pal Ozy ..I really think this could be the game changer ,and they will get no more easy rides from the press...

Wonks, if you do not refute your heinous allegation that I support the Fundamentalists then we are Officially Back at War.

I have always condemned the Fundamentalist savages. Now refute or wage War!

just a point, would the papers in the uk be allowed to print the offending cartoons, the french agency had been warned about the
images ( i think the offices were firebombed ) !! i am all for freedom of speech but surely it would be called " inciting religious or racial hatred " on these shores. |

glascowcalling, if its free speech it cannot be called racial hatred?..you cannot be racist to a religion surely?mind you I was called a racist because I said the germans have protested against islam...so maybe the definition has changed?

Dresden, compared to other German cities, had very few immigrants, and even fewer Muslim residents. There have been weekly protests by the Patriotic Europeans against the Islamisation of the West (Pegida) since October.A record 18,000 people turned out on Monday at one rally in Dresden.
But counter demonstrations have sprung up and the group has been condemned by senior German politicians.Thousands of people marched in Berlin, Cologne, Dresden and Stuttgart. In Berlin, police said that some 5,000 counter-demonstrators blocked hundreds of Pegida supporters from marching along their planned route. A total of 22,000 anti-Pegida demonstrators rallied in Stuttgart, Muenster and Hamburg, according to the DPS news agency. What is Pegida? • Founded in Dresden by activist Lutz Bachmann in October 2014 • Acronym for Patriotische Europaer Gegen die Islamisierung des Abendlandes (Patriotic Europeans Against the Islamisation of the West) • Umbrella group for German right-wing, attracting support from mainstream conservatives to neo-Nazi factions and football hooligans • Holds street protests against what it sees as a dangerous rise in the influence of Islam over European countries • 19-point manifesto says the movement opposes extremism and calls for protection of Germany's Judeo-Christian culture |

By:
mr top, you posted that before..? my question was how can you call someone racist for pointing out that rallies were taking place (whoever by)in Germany? seems a very low threshold for conviction does it not?
By:
just reading your post mr top...could it be on your eveidence that I could conclude that you are a communist?
By:
silly I know..but fair if you take the premise of how you found me guilty is it not?

MrTopNotch is incapable of rational argument,he will descend with a bit of name calling, copy some facts without comment and then revert to his Skibbereen Eagle role.
The tactic is well worn, get you on the back foot by making a ridiculous accusation then watch you try to defend yourself. Anyone who has legitimate concerns about immigration or Islam is called a racist and an Islamophobe. That's how Rotherham went on for so long, these kids were sacrificed on the altar of political correctness. The marches in Germany will be attacked by the foot soldiers of the ruling elite. The UAF fulfilled that role in Britain, these university educated thugs would attack ordinary people marching against the burning of poppies. |
By:
I don't know if your right about mr top Wildman, but I do know how he came to his conclusion was ridiculous?..as to your other points..i agree about normal people who are concerned about immigration and the fanatics, are being labelled racists...when all they are doing is trying to highlight a problem a lot of people are worried about.
By:
Its a working class issue Tony.
Mass immigration suit the big employers as it drives down wages,it suits the people that employ nannies gardeners and servants. Its the working class who watch their hospital beds being taken, their houses being allocated to foreigners only, their doctors surgeries being overcrowded, their school places taken and worst of all their jobs being taken. |
By:
yes your make a fair point Wildman..a old hero of mine on the left always hated the eu..as a undemocratic instertution..and he was right..the way they have let the eastern nations just mass migrate here is a recipe for disaster
By:
Not just a recipe tony -that cake is already baked.

By:
just watched PANARAMA..to anyone who thinks we don't have a problem with muslims in Europe I advise you to watch it..some decent people trying to fight for there faith..but also putting there country first..im sorry to say tho they are losing the fight..
By:
Do you mean 'Panorama', Tony?
By:
I think Tony & Wildman were watching "Paranoia"
By:
No argument just some Bonny remarks.
Its this complete inability to engage that gets me. First idea from MrTopNotch is close down argument these people are beneath me. Somebody who is bought unable to argue against the unbought. |
By:
oh im sorry I spelt it wrong oz...mr top..you would have paranoia if you had been in paris, or in London on 7/7, but cos your in Ireland and have not been attacked by these animals you can sit on your high and mighty chair looking down on us people who tell the truth about what we face..unlike some,..im care about my country..and what country my kids will grow up in..unless we fight these bastards now..it will be worse for the generation to come
By:
we have won the argument Wildman..all the proof is on our side..we do not lie or mock , and have always been willing to engage in the argument..but you are right Wildman..because they lose the argument..it becomes racist..or homophobic..very sad..
By:
I was in London for 7/7 as it was just after the Greyhound Derby final that year, I don't have paranoia. It is a small percentage of these that are lunatics and do these things, they don't speak or act for all muslims. I do feel they should come out and more vigorously condemn these people and acts (some probably have) however.
How anybody can moan about the Eastern Europeans coming over here (especially some who have emigrated for work from Ireland in the past)is beyond me, the Eastern Europeans work and most work hard, quite a lot took jobs that Irish people deemed below them during the boom. |
By:
well said, Prem.
Tony resorts to words like 'animals' and 'bastards', yet claims 'we do not lie or mock , and have always been willing to engage in the argument'. You couldn't make it up. He goes on to say 'we have won the argument'. Fact is he has ever won a grown up argument in his life. He appeals to Borneo in every second sentence, it's like a child looking for the solace of a Mothers teat. |
By:
They should condemn them but generally don't Premier, their mindset of non muslims is very poor.
In regards east europeans i was appalled by the organised begging gangs which seem to have taken over Cork city around Christmas, why the guards don't move them on i don't know. |
By:
they actually condemn more than you thinkk, Pa. Google say 'Muslim condemnation of Paris attacks' and i think you will be surprised. it tends not to get much media coverage.
That said, I would love to see a mass march of Muslims against Fundamentalism. They must be sick and tired of being tarred with that brush. |
By:
and one for you soft lad..if these people got hold of you..your meat and 2 veg would be in your gob(best place)
![]() seething homophobia ![]() |
By:
I speak the truth..if they did get hold of you would they not kill you...?
By:
prem,..ive no problem with people coming here to work..but not when they are used to earning 50 a month?..people can come when there own country is on a equal economic footing as our own..not as we see today..this is were the problem lies....
so Tony should the Engliah have told all the Irish to fack off home back in the day?? including your buddy Wildman |
By:
The oh so politically correct hothead Premier Fantasy has his own demons, its fairly obvious that the racist screamer likes the Eastern Europeans purely because they are white.
Some don't see the danger of Islam but a huge population in your country that hates you and your value system can only end in tears. There is no appeasing people who want to kill you because you are an infidel. I am against the Iraq war, against the war in Afghanistan ,I am in favour of ISIS. Let them have their state, let them stone adulterous women to their hearts content, let them amputate to their hearts content but deport any of their like minded gentlemen that live in Europe to that Utopian state. |
By:
"soft lad", i bet that's what the women in his life call Tony.
