Thurles stage a card, on tomorrow, Monday, and the going there is described as soft to heavy (11mm rain in past 48 hours).
The weather forecast is for dry conditions today and tomorrow.

West Ship Master looks a decent bet to me in the handicap chase.
He has bottom weight, his last run in Down Royal was a cracker, was trailing well behind but stayed on so strongly nearly caught the winner, that was over 20 furlongs, another 4 furlongs tomorrow on  ground he loves.

The maiden hurdle looks a match and normally Willie Mullins against Jim Dreaper would be a no contest but at the present odds Venitien De Mai looks the bet to me.
Venitien finished runner up to Jimmy  Two Times in Clonmel and subsequent events in Leopardstown show how good that run was,the extra two furlongs will suit as well.

Anyone that fancies Miss Faithful in the 3.25 should really wait til very near the off, she won well last time and could well follow up, she did well that day at Tramore, made up ground smoothly and an easy winner, good performance as her pre race antics were deplorable.

That Macbride run stank the whole place out in the opener, looked like it was just having a nice little school around the place.

Norn,I'm going to have a little tickle on Kala Brandy alright,Mount Colah very lucky to stand up after that hash it made of the last fence.

Finding it very hard to split  Roi Des Francs and Venitien De Mai so might just sit it out as I know which ever one I back the other will win it.

They should have held the races on Little Christmas Day,small crowd today.

The performance of Honeys Joy in the bumper is something I would urge you all to look at.
Never have I seen a horse race that wide,it was some brave ride by Patrick Mullins,he actually yanked the mare in an almost weaving manner around the wings of the taken down hurdles.
I am not sure he had to do that and would be interested in others opinions.

He rode a simular race recently at Thures just before Xmas , stayed very wide yet finished out with the washing ,simular colours to yestedays winner  if i remember correctly ..Backed it so was not impressed with the tactics , they look great when they work , Kevin obviously forgot to ask him about that ride ,while prasing him to high heavens during yesterdays interview ...
