but for yourself, surely you want to improve. I was re-watching races and his riding skills approaching the last two fences on GITANE DE BERLAIS on Dec 29th were very suspect. Worth another look.

Said the same at the time, he was a total shambles on the horse at the last two fences.
Andrew Thornton got one home John Wayne style earlier this afternoon. Horse looked like it was going backwards, but extraordinarily was indeed going forward!
Awful pilot who spurned a great opportunity. Bottle job at every fence
