IRISH Runners in engerland today

Queally was chronic, bad enough losing a dozen lths at the start but to rein him back around when he had the race won by not going through a big enough gap was inexcusable, very poor.
Elliott has done well with these two, very average but a few little touches in the last few months with them.

I believe Gordon to be a very intelligent sort.

Getting Timmy and Tommy to ride his beasts there today would mount a serious case for the opposition!!

Agreed,if he had put each of them on the other horse today.

He could have won on Dove Mountain himself!!

DAVY has 3 in Ffos Las incl Welsh Shadow 11/4 fav in the 7 runner Welsh Champion Hurdle

CHELTENHAM TODAY

Gordon's Five....any fancies ?

btw, see he has Smullen up on Jock Talk 15/8f 7pm tonight (against Compatriot Keane).

(against Compatriot Keane).

Yes, well the race is in ireland - it's not as if they're going to fly santa down from the north pole to ride one

Thanks Miss Snossyboots

......btw (by the way) me tinks our little play on words went over your head (check the runners in the 7.00 race)

Usually check the runners before they run not waiting for the forum goose to to put the mockers on one

hth (hope this helps )

THANK YOU Elvis.

Any other interest in AIDAN O’BRIEN’s quest for knighthood in Engerland ?

Aidan O'Brien saddles 4 as he bids to break the world record for the number of Group One winners in a year.

HISTORY in the books with A WARRIOR called SAXON

Roll on Saint-Cloud 2moro - with 5 more chances in two Group 1s

Gordon Elliott must have High Expectations with his booking of Richard Johnson tomara

...cue some dead rock'n'roll star coming on with some nonsense comment

^^ All so very easy.

Dear Lord, bad enough talking to oneself for hours on end on an anonymous forum but trying to converse with dead rock'n'roll stars??

Then again, when regurgitating  dead threads is ur thing

Ps: Great spot with the Elliot runner - impressive!

Elvis = dead rock'n'roll star (get it )...knew you'd coming on, right on cue.

Probably means yet another account closure letter in the post

^^ All so very easy.

That post was solely in regards the horse.
Leicester was a bit of an off the wall choice for Gordon, not sure had he ever a runner there but he is walking on water almost lately.

For the thread overall(Ir runners in Eng) you only have to look at irishracing.com to see level stakes wise how badly they do,saying that i always look myself, i think John McConnell is one to watch,he seems to send over a few that struggle at Dundalk but capable over.

That post was solely in regards the horse.

Obvious enough to 99.9% of folk pa but there's always one (and I'm not referring to ur good self in case some fool thinks I am)

The said one could do with buying a dictionary as well and look up sarcasm - when he's done playing with words or whatever and pushing report buttons

Anyway, best of luck with your punting pa - always nice to see a sensible fella post

Thanks Elvissss, the 07.16 post i thought could have been read in two ways,it was just a compliment to the op,it was deserved.

Ha, i suppose i have some sensible moments, punting small as disillusioned with exchange for one, still think the winners are around with the usual patience tag.

In keeping with the thread,
R Watson(don't know his 1st name except he is up north) sends one over to Newcastle Thurs, think he is cute enough and the few he sent over have done well, obvious chance formwise, don't think the 7lb extra from last time will be a problem, hard to see it not at least getting a place.

Be lucky yourself Elvissss

PA, as you can see I only highlight/post on the occasional runner across the pond - on this WINNING and "worthwhile" thread.

Obviously not backing every Orish donkey that runs in Engerland.

Don't shoot the messenger - if you have an opinion on the subject or horse, than please say so.
If you don't like the thread - SIMPLY DONT READ IT !
We can do without the nonsense comments and cyber back stabbing tyvm - Remember it's US vs THEM

I think it is an interesting idea for a thread myself and no doubt you are selective in picking which ones.

Two obvious points with them, how well did they travel over? you very seldom find out beforehand, positive or negative in the betting may be a guide.

The other point is form is very rarely collated, there are no lines, dangerous to say that a horse that ran well at Dundalk would be above a similar class type at say Wolves. (though i would say yes in the majority, not proven)

On the plus side, very likely they are trained for the race given costs.

ta pa, just being selective helps - Remember they all can't win..... No interest in my dear (Mr) Watson.

^ Why not? the horses name is British Art

Elementary My Dear Watson...

...would have been nice to know his Cousins Plus One Syndicate before he won in Newcastle - 14's into 15/2 - they knew!
Also note he was beaten 2L by 'Commander Won' who has won again since back in Dundalk.

Lyons 104 rated in the listed tomorrow with Jim Crowley is not even of interest.

Lets try an keep this a WINNING THREAD. BofL

IF YOUR STUCK Joe, have a good go off Orish jockey Fran Berry

Up ya boy Ya !!!..... UP OU DAT.

btw

That Lingfield 3.10 Result yesterday was...

Joe go go (IRE) 2, b g 9-6 (Mr W Clifford)
(Ring price: 6/4 11/8 5/4) SP 5/4fav
David Evans
F M Berry (Orish jockey)
made all, ridden over 1f out, kept on well

WD pa on an easy winner - put up 2 days before the race - not 2 mins before

1:50
RESULT    Betway Handicap (Class 6)
1st 11. British Art 2/1
Always prominent, led going well 2f out, quickened clear over 1f out, comfortably
2nd 4. Exclusive Waters 11/1
3rd 7. Galilee Chapel 50/1

Nice to see a modest poster who doesn't congratulate himself

Thanks Elvisss, i got a kick out of that.

Jers Girl at 11/8 looks a fair enough price at kempton tomorrow,i think Apple Jade was fairly straight last time, that form would be proven,i think 3m probably suits on that running as well, top two in the race are hard to evaluate but don't think they are up to JG,s form, they might be improving but the 4lb is another plus to JG.

Me Monday interest

Well done pa.Irish runners in England are always worth a second look.Jers girl is interesting tomorrow.Just hard to see if she will get the 3 miles. The ground at kempton is never to soft which is a negative.May take her on with rons dream.

This thread just crossed my mind again while everyone's doing fine down in Sandown with Fox Norton in the Tingle Creek at 2.55, all eyes will Definitly Red up on AINTREE tomorrow even though Mouse runs Alpha Des Obeaux.

...cue my dead rock'n'roll staker

1.30... The other 12yo KING is not dead yet Pa

Putting on rose tinted specs, there are a few positives,

He is 20-25/1
On weights from past course form he has a chance of finishing in front of Vieux Lion Rouge(also Highland Lodge and at a push Blacklion through that Nat trial last Feb) who are a lot shorter in the betting.
If the National is the plan which i think it is,he has to go up at least around 7lb,not sure is there some clause with this race in regard the Nat and this.

With the specs still on his two runs this season were very poor, historically though hasn't done a lot early in the season.
Maybe Aintree will bring about the best in him and/or at least the amount of finishers could be small.

Probably will have some shrapnel on him,he could run ok.

Despite penalty and further, don't need any specs for Clear Skies tonight, when it looks too good you wonder whar you're missing.

In the meanwhile.....good to see Cooper back from Tennessee (no bet btw, but more of that later)

J T R Dreaper stable in good form with winner at Navan with Robbie Power in the saddle - rides in Newbury on Wednesday.

Catch Me ifyoucan • December 17, 2017 3:37 PM GMT
J T R Dreaper stable in good form

Mullaghmurphy Blue 2/1 returned 11/10

WD to F M Berry (Orish jockey) FANS with a five timer last nite (the 3 for David Evans could have been backed if not for the Christmas Party in the Arch ffs)

Had a feeling Dreaper was going to the well once too often - so left singing the Murphy Blues in third in Musselburgh - and priced short anyways.

A bit more stoking required again today from Andrew Ring in AYR

Velvet Maker tomorrow is a very interesting runner in a hunters at Leicester(also entered Warwick Sunday),a rake of positives, the glaring one is he is rated a stone and a half above his next rival. Has raced mostly in topclass races bar last times point where 3m in heavy not ideal, went to Cheltenham last three years and last years hurdle run behind Grand Partner probably the pick of his last half dozen(Lasttolasvegas behind).
Lightly raced maybe a negative would be consistency but the bar has been raised high.Probably for that reason i wouldn't take too short a price, pure guess what price it will be but while they don't race on paper looks the proverbial.

That was so embarressing terrible. ^

Bloodly Hell Lads ! we missed it...

Pat surely deserves an Oscar going all that way in a horse box - 8 hrs minimum and a ferry ride.

And loves Scotland too, does our Gordon

Missed out ffs

IRISH RACING - "Gordon Elliott endured a mixed day on Wednesday as he celebrated three winners at Ayr. Elliott was on the mark with the unbeaten Galvin in the Novices’ Hurdle, Veinard in the Chase and Arion Sky in the bumper. Davy Russell rode the first and last of those, but Conor O’Farrell replaced him on Veinard as Russell was still shook up from a fall on Pat’s Oscar, who looked set to win the Mares’ H/cap Hdl when coming down at the last.

EQUINE FLU OUTBREAK - The horses from McCain's yard had raced earlier in the day at Ayr and Ludlow, potentially exposing other horses across the country and in Ireland to the disease.

Catch, you could have let that run a few more minutes before giving the game away, I was hoping for at least 10 of them to rant and rave at me...

Nah, no need to antagonize n wake ‘em up (“leave them asleep”)

Looks like Money For Jam tomoro

"Brave" man Tommy ! - could ye not wait 'till Tralee Racecourse opens again, for somewhere more 'local' to run ? ...fcuk me, but that's a LONG WAY to go for a 3.5K 'Newcomers' bumper

We’re lucky enough that we’ve got a good bunch of owners and a good bunch of horses. We’ll keep smiling and keep kicking".  - hard to see him and Davy get out of prison tomoro

Yet another MAGICAL w/end for AOB and Donnacha......ah, the lads, by Galileo, delighted, unbelievable really

Aidan’s first Qipco Champion Stakes (Group 1) (British Champions Middle Distance)

Class filly - 21 runs, 9th win, 4th Group 1, 5 times second in G1, great attitude, special filly.

#321 Group 1’s for Aidan

*3rd G1 for Magical

Donnacha first G1 in Ascot too

Though it pains me to see the reputation of one of the forum's more prominent statisticians go down in flames - I must respectfully point out that Magical has now won FOUR(4) Group 1s and Aidan O'Brien has won at least 327 Group 1s ( some accounts claim 329 )

ITV stats from the TV racing today obviously sh1te

Ciao Bella Brazil & Hollie Doyle - Jesse's shopping trip to London paid for the early Christmas presents

Magic touch again by Jessie last Wednesday....2to5 in a 4 horse race if that's your thing.

See Charles is on a shopping TRIP to London too, but up against JP/BJG in the last (150K sterling on the line) - Davy also in action (if racing goes ahead).

peckerdunne • January 16, 2020 3:40 PM GMT.....No panic chop chop

Owner Bryan Drew has privately bought smart Market Rasen bumper winner Panic Attack, who has left Willie Mullins and is now in training with David Pipe.
...bolted up by 10 lengths despite making her debut in Listed company...8-1 second-favourite for the Champion Bumper behind Appreciate It

“A friend of mine in Ireland rang me to let me know she was for sale and that started the dialogue with Willie and the owners (Leinster Partnership),” said Drew. “I just liked the way she ran at Market Rasen. To take on 5 and 6yo on debut and run like that is phenomenal. We reached an agreement with the owners and she turned up at David’s on Tuesday morning. To be honest it was an easy decision to give her to David. I’ve been a long-standing owner there and he has invested in his facilities and he has invested in a lot of good youngsters and most importantly he has been delivering the results.”
