Question?

A few year ago while i was crossing the Cheltenham racecourse[at the last hurdle] on the way to see the Cross Country Chase i was very surprised to see how steep the  hill was, to answer your question Gotchee i would doubt it, but no doubt someone here will tell me im wrong.

I find it hard to believe but the fellow who told me is never wrong.

I heard that a while ago Gotchee....didn't believe it at the time but apparently it's true.

I recall reading that during the summer.It was an Irish racing journalist who researched it using Ordnance Survey maps I think...could have been Donn McClean?

Although I have been at both tracks, for whatever reason, Cheltenham looks steeper.
I wonder is there any jockeys out there that would be able to tell us?

Kevin Blake had an article about this in the Irish Field a few months ago. Someone might be able to drag it up from their website if they have the time.

If I remember correctly, he measured the steepness of the finishes at various courses and concluded that both Naas and Leopardstown were steeper than Cheltenham.
