Never really took to either of these (one rodenty and doesn't travel, the other just plain ordinary) and I'd be nearly sure Boston Bob is more talented than either but just way way more complicated. I'll probably Back Boston Bob again. Ruby was once again very positive on him in the paper. Road to Riches, the danger. I could see the stiff fences catching out Bobs Worth if he isn't travelling. Could see Texas Jack placing here, think there might be a little more to come from him.

JEEZ NEILLD BOTH HAVE WON MILLION£ YOUR HARD MAN TO PLEASE
THINK AS KEEN LEADER STATES SURELY THIS IS AS GOOD AS CHELT GOLD CUP ONLY SILVO CONTI MISSING = AS GOOD AS WE GOING SEE EVER ON IRISH SOIL MY TAKE ON RACE IS FIRST LIEUTENANT IS GOOD EW VALUE AS ALWAYS RUNS WELL AT LEOP AT XMAS REV4CAST WITH THE rodenty BOBS WORTH WHO WILL IF NICKY HAS HIM FULLY FIT WILL BE HARD BEAT |

Fair enough there's the 2 star attractions in the reigning champ and a former champ but there's so many of these with doubts about them, especially on heavy ground. I can't see why people should look past Bob's Worth. He looks by far the one with the least amount of holes in him and if we could believe Henderson that's he's back to his best, then's he's a great price.
Boston Bob, First Lieutenant, Road to Riches, Lord Windermere. They all are a worry on really heavy ground. |

Up For Review ?

It might be nearly as good as the Cheltenham GC field will be Norn, but that doesn't automatically make it a good race. Certainly not the best ever on Irish soil!
I backed Bobs Worth and Road to Riches. Easy to make a case for them all nearly, but if BW is at his best, he wins. It only requires forgiving him one below par run in the strangest race I have ever seen at Chelt. And R2R seems to have more scope than most, will have the run of the race, and may improve a few pound going left handed. |

K.L i dont think it ever happened,.. the horse to take out of the race for me is Boston bob .

Re: Road to Riches
keen leader 28 Dec 14 00:46 hold your fire, at around 3pm tomorrow you can have what you want on this lad at 999/1. if you are going to throw money away, better doing it on a three digit price than at 13/2. Messiah my ar$e. Clueless guesser. |

I would certainly take R2R home ahead of BB. Very admirable sort. May not be quite good enough to win a GC, but then again Lord Windermere won it last year!! Market always seems too ready to forgive BB imo.

Would be worried about Bobs Worth now - I still don't think Lord W is fully wound up yet - one target for him this year
Boston Bob will improve I think given the way Mullins are running - great to see R to R going away at the end - a positive sign |

Looking at todays, the 4.6 on Silviniaco Conti looks big. GC is going to be utter sh1te. They should enter Faugheen! Nice canter around on Tuesday, then beat this lot by the odd furlong on Friday!!

LW was hunted around today never put in the race never any intention of winning it
|

By:
Doubt they just hunted him around in a 90,000 race Chelt , sure to be a sound reason for that run ...
|

By:
WR they done the exact same last season,Their only interest is the GC in March.
|

Maybe you're right .I backed him in the race last year and dropped him from my Gold Cup portfolio after it ,and was amazed at the turnaround at Cheltenham,,,

Can't understand the run of Bobs Worth, too bad to be true, looks like a horse that is regressing, Henderson has had very few Grade 1 runners this season compared to Nicholls. Something just not right in his yard.

Nicky is a nice guy ;but even he must be p.ss off the way his horses are running [or not running] i would like to see an interview with him about his yard, if he feel like giving one.

CALLIT IT WAS THE MOST COMPETITIVE FIELD IVE EVER SEEN FOR GOLD CUP ON IRISH SOIL IVE BEEN TO FEW WOULD YOU RATHER SEE RACE LIKE CARVILLS HILL WINNING IN CANTER ? I ENJOY LOTS IN WITH CHANCE AS OPPOSED TO ODDS ON RACES WITH MOST HAVING NO CHANCE . BUT JUST MY OPINION
THINK IT WAS STRANGE RACE WITH BOBS WORTH nice school LE VENT DANTAN MOST IMPRESSIVE MONKSLAND /DEDIGOUT BOTH BE WORTH FEW£ WHEN FULLY FIT |

A good race Norn, but I would be looking forward to tomorrows hurdle more. Two true stars, both proper Grade One animals, and both look sure to give very near to their running. For all the competitiveness of todays race, it was far from a vintage renewal as was confirmed by those that filled the placings. Therefore I couldn't have it as anywhere near the best race held here.
I would love for there to be a Carvills Hill around! Hendo might have ran out of the magic powder! Maybe Fenton was minding his stash too. |
