..LORD ADARE 3.55 I know its making its chase debut but I don't fancy the walsh horse as its been off to long ..the mullins horse has fell twice..king leon could be the danger..although my selection was a 2/5 shot lto the trip will suit.
I also rate SHEAMUS..ive backed it on 4 of its 5 runs.. |

The Tullow Tank and Mala Beach are two horses who give their all,out and out battlers should be some race.
By:
The Tullow Tank always looked like a potential high class chaser but i couldn't back any odds on shot in a beginners chase.....Mala beach is another high class chasing prospect.....but i'd say both of them would like
to see a bit more cut in the ground....one of them will more than likely win but i might chance a few pound on Azorian to beat them both... As for the rest of the card Groody Hill has a cracking e/w chance in the 2.25....A former mid 130s handicap chaser running of a hurdles mark of 102...decent claimer taking off another 3lb which means he's effectively running off 99 today....obviously had a few problems but if anywhere near straight he would take a bit of beating imo. |
By:
Dessie said he schooled alright but while he wasn't making mistakes wholesale over hurdles there was enough guessy ones to be for me a bit concerned.
A bit frustrating this year and always have the worry of missing the kick with him but still a lot weaker field than he has been contesting and with ideal heavy conditions another chance is given to Maarek. Good shot in Austrailia JR. |
By:
Thanks Pa....i'd agree that Maarek must have a favourites chance but i'm not sure i'd trust him enough to back him.
Another who will love the conditions is Justice Day.....Elsie doesn't send too many abroad. GL anyway Pa. |

By:
Interesting that Ruby rides Sheamus today as surely there'd be no chance he could keep the ride when it comes to the big races.
By:
WD again JR.
By:
You're in great form JR, brilliant picking.
By:
I would have lost the lot on that photo betting with Groody Hill getting up on the line.

Much made of the content on here in recent times, it's pretty excellent I think, some excellent tipping and interesting debate.

Thats Christmas paid for anyway.....

You're a **** beast JR, mind yourself at the ATM
By:
Very taking performance there. Looked like he had been jumping fences all his life. Mala Beach will learn plenty from it, got low at a couple at a crucial stage. Azorian wasn't disgraced. All 3 will be happy with that.
By:
A nice jumping performence, maybe the rsa come cheltenham time.
By:
Just a worry that he will always benefit from a bit of cut. Should make hay from now til March though. TTT v Pont Alexander at the Hennessy meet in Feb is something to look forward to!
By:
I took a great shine to the tank last season, well named , hope he stays sound.
By:
Agree with that callitasucit ....wouldn't back him for anything until the day....three nice horses tbf....Azorian paid the price for doing the donkey work but looks worth following over fences...very nice attitude.
By:
Thought he was chancey enough over the first 3 or 4 fences but warmed to it and never looked in danger on the final circuit.
By:
There is so many opportunities for this fella in Ireland that there isn't really a need to go to Cheltenham. Winter festival, Leopardstown at Christmas, Hennessy meeting, a nice break and bring him back for the Easter meeting, and the horse will probably benefit more in the long run.

Nice selection Fly Fish

e Tullow Tank was found to be suffering from an inflammatory lung infection after his below-par display in the Drinmore Novice Chase at Fairyhouse.
Sent off the 7-4 favourite for the best renewal of the Grade One in many years, the Sandra Hughes-trained six-year-old could finish only fifth behind Valseur Lido and was subsequently sent for tests. "We've got the results back and he was suffering from an inflammatory lung infection," said owner Barry Connell. "That would also probably account for the elevated heart rate he had. "He's obviously picked it up somewhere, but it's nothing serious. "We'd hope to get him back on the track fairly soon, but it's too early to say whether or not he'll be running at Christmas (Topaz Novice Chase, Leopardstown)." |
By:
Doubt if he has any infection, more like cold turkey.
By:
Barry will probably want to skip Christmas in order to freshen him up to run in the Pierse Hurdle off top weight!
By:
Isn't it amazing how there's always an excuse forthcoming when a horse with any semblance of a reputation gets beat?
No such thing as just been beaten fair and square on the day. |

By:
Chelt , can't agree ,I know a lot of people , on here included , were baffled by its last run , and will be glad that something has come to light ,I commend Barry for highlighting this to punters ...
By:
Would certainly agree with WR here. If he was second or even a respectable third, you might think that was as good as he is. But it patently wasn't his running, and so its quite acceptable there is an excuse. Nothing he has ever done suggests he is only the level he showed in the Drinmore.
Though in many instances I would agree with what Chelt said. Camelot being a prime example. Nothing he done in his defeats was ever much or any worse to what he achieved in his victories. |
By:
Sadly he looks gone at the game,Needs to get out of them colours

back to hurdles ? seems to be afraid of fences

The Tank might be missing Phillips medicine cabinet me thinks......
