Believe the topic is still worth a look, thought it maybe better to drop the other one for a few reasons and i'm partly to blame for that.
Brief summary so far;
15th Oct Punchestown entry each, neither declared. 16th Oct Punchestown entry each, neither declared. 17th Oct Downpatrick 1 entry N Meade, not declared. 19th Oct Naas 1(?) entry W Mullins,no entry Meade, WPM's,Lyrical Theatre won. 19th Oct Cork 1(?) entry N Meade,no entry Mullins, Meades Ice Cold Soul won.
Forthcoming bumpers for rest of the week:
23th Oct Thurles 2 Meade,Ice Cold Soul and Virtouso Rouge, no Mullins. 25th Oct Wexford(mares) Meades Barossa Pearl and Mullins Captain Carol. 26th Oct Galway Meades Virtuso Rouge,no Mullins.
Ought to pick up pace after the demise of the flat Sunday.
It can be taken that way, i've always thought they did "avoid" each other up to Christmas,so did others while equally there was a strong opposite view. Pig Iron more than anything, very neutral with proving or disproving at this stage and prefer to see what the end results will show. On an aside i don't think there is any harm in watching their entries,i didn't rate Ice Cold Soul but he is/was very well entered up.

With regards to tomorrows bumper,Meade unsurprisingly swerved this as Gigginstown is very well represented with Sub Lieutenant, not Willie but Tony also looks to have a fairly decent prospect in the Barry Connell owned Hurricane Darwin,Potts runs Exxaro. Ex Mullins Supreme horse(Imtoldiamgrand) is also in the field.Would expect Sub Lieutenant to get off the mark here, think he will be plenty short however but also interested in the run for Meades Virtuoso Rouge. Virtuoso Rouge is interesting as he is doing the opposite to the norm,ie French bred English pointer coming to Ireland. Fell in opening point at Larkhill, every chance. Won at Woodford easily. 2nd at Navan on rules debut. Mc Manus bought the winner of that race Noble Emperor, has since won a maiden hurdle at Limerick by 13L from Drumacoo who won his bumper last week at Downpatrick, that reads well however the ones in behind haven't franked the form nothing like that. Virtuoso was cantering and going as well as the winner at Navan, slight bit disappointing,he did stay on but didn't quicken. Beaten 98L on his next and last run at Punchestown, going well enough 4f out and making ground,he totally fell away,on the Navan run he was entitled to be thereabouts in that race on the 2nd and 4th. I suppose i swallowed Meades "water" excuse but inclined to forget that run. Think it could be very likely Wexford on Monday for him unless Elliotts Gigginstown representive doesn't go to Galway.

27 Oct Galway Meade 2 entries,Snow Falcon,Russian Bill. Mullins has Rio Treasure. 27 Oct Wexford Meade 2 entries, Virtuoso Rouge,Wildebeest. No Mullins. 29 Oct Punchestown Meade 1 entry Virtuoso Rouge. No Mullins.
Looking at the weekend bumpers,at Wexford tomorrow Mullins Captain Carol looks the obvious one, travelled well on debut and the winner Fill Your Hands has done nothing wrong whatsoever in his runs since.Likely danger Tyners Table Tips is starting to look a bit disappointing. On Sunday Gigginstown,s Captain Von Trappe unsurprisingly got the nod over Meades. He will probably go off short though personally not too enamoured with his point form.
Further ahead on Monday think it would be a terrific race if both Meades Snow Falcon took on Mullins Rio's Treasure at Galway. The style of Rio Treasures win at Listowel was eyecatching, Exxaro franked the form a bit yesterday.Meades Snow Falcon had to work last time after travelling well, though his 2nd in the 60k Punchestown land rover bumper may be a truer guage(unfancied Russian Bill bt 12L). Wexfords Monday bumper looks at the mercy of Virtuoso Rouge though no surprise if Meade runs Wildebeest and keeps VR for Wednesday.

Yesterday had the 1st clash though think it is fair to say it was Meades 2nd string, however it was Elliotts Tycoon Prince who collected. Tomorrow should see the very well declared Virtuoso Rouge, probably will be very short and ought to win easily, reservation with regard the way he stopped last time would stop me getting involved, Germany John finished near enough Meades Snow Falcon(7L) and Martins horse could improve to say VR will have some race. I'd like to see Mullins very impressive scorer Valerian Bridge on Friday, with a few Giggy horses may not run, that win was franked yesterday. Saturday's and Sundays bumpers don't look too special. Other than Lyrical Theatre the last few weeks bumpers have generally been close run affairs and nothing seems to have really stood out.

With no bumper at Fairyhouse and no entries for Thurles bumper by the two protagonists, we,ll have to wait til the weekend. Think i'm safe to say that Meade is trying to get runs into his youngsters before Willie gets really going, still another couple of clashes between the two this weekend where Mullins Valerian Bridge beat Meades Snow Falcon and both filled the minor placings in the Naas bumper.Comfortable for Valerian Bridge, the 3rd The Way It Works stayed on from the back and seems sure to pick up a race soon. Very likeable performance from Jessie Harrington,s Rose of the Moor, very disappointed with Virtuoso Rouge in the same race, possible Noel knew how bad he is and kept delaying for an easy race but on that evidence he won't find one. Jessie's Belle of the Moor is also worth watching. Early days and other than really Valerian Bridge/Snow Falcon, no major races but still a bit surprised the way it is going.

Thanks Tony, probably could be better and others be a way more qualified but no harm in documenting them through my eyes, obvious but a few decent ones so far in Lyrical Theatre, Valerian Bridge and Rose of the Moor, better to come. Not necessary through a betting perspective but like following the youngsters and seeing how they get on.

I don't know Tony,a quick look at his form would say he should be thereabouts, don't know how fit he is and having been gambled on previous betting will be informative. Ex Prendergasts Qasser won the breaststroke at Plumpton by about 50L. I,ll wait til tomorrow, looking forward to seeing how The Tullow Tank jumps a fence, GL with him.

Not at all Tony, its not meant like that whatsoever, you are talking horses. Full sure FAp was up,dh a bit tough as he surely didn't look as if he was beat.

What is the inside track on this max all-in beast tomorrow?

i haven't got a clue, Kavvie. I realise that doesn't stop some having a stab, putting up horses and getting lucky now and again. But from my pov, without any current connections in racing, my opinions wouldn't be worth anything to anyone. I wouldn't bore you with them.
What do you mean after the race? When have I ever expressed an opinion after a race?

You are doing a better job than me on this thread Tony . Back to insomaniac stuff;
8th Nov Naas,2 Meade Jack Slade and Bonny Kate,no Mullins. 9th Nov Navan 1 Meade Texas Forever,no Mullins.
Also a race in Limerick on Sunday,Table Tips ran well last time and might be worth a look if she runs. Quiet week(and next). Took Loughmore Queen out of yesterdays Thurles bumper, thought it was a promising debut from her and she stayed on nicely.

Don't know Catchme. Surely Table Tips ought to get off the mark here? Money is for the well related Saddle Slip all day but TT won't get a better chance.

Pity KW didn't ride a bit more of a positive race, maybe wouldn't have mattered as she did get there only to have little more, she is a munther after that.

EADING owner Rich Ricci took time out during a rare visit to Lingfield to point punters in the direction of two youngsters who could go right to the top in novice hurdles.
Explaining his presence at a run-of-the-mill meeting at which he had no runners, Ricci, who lives in Kent but races mainly in Ireland, joked: "I needed a fix as we haven't been able to run many in Ireland because of the weather."
Asked about young horses he was particularly excited about he said he had been "very active" buying in the summer and nominated two French recruits who already figure in the Cheltenham markets, both with Willie Mullins.
He said: "Allez Colombieres won three out of four bumpers and was the champion three-year-old bumper horse in France last year. He's one I'm really looking forward to and hopefully he'll be going to the highest level in novice hurdles.
"Kalkir is three and ran a great race in a newcomers race at Auteuil when only just behind Bonito Du Berlais, who has gone on to win four on the trot, including a Grade 1 by 12 lengths in the newcomers race at Auteuil. He's one we are really looking forward to, and is hopefully a Triumph Hurdle horse."
Ricci, who is hoping to see Daneking run in the Greatwood Hurdle at Cheltenham on Sunday, also had news of Annie Power, who won the Mares Champion Hurdle at Punchestown after finishing second in the Ladbrokes World Hurdle at Cheltenham.
He said: "She's in grand form. We haven't made any decisions yet, but we've had lots of conversations and hopefully we'll make a decision soon. She's in great, great form and has summered very very well."

Out of them probably Master of Verse is the one to look forward to,beat Drumacoo easily in his point,Meades Rathnure Rebel also won his point easily, both are owned by Gigginstown. Mullins well touted Semper Medici is in Saturdays maiden hurdle where he may possibly face one of Meades. The Big Apple was an easy winner of last weekends Naas bumper,Tara Point cross channel today could be an exciting horse. Cracking weekends racing ahead.

Wed 19th Nov Fairyhouse 8 Mullins and 3 Meade entries. Mullins Arkwright and Meades Aengus declared. Thur 20th Nov Thurles 6 Mullins, 1 Meade(ran Sun) Sun 23rd Nov Navan (listed). Mullins Lyrical Theatre,Meade Joesphine Marcus.
Won't have a strong opinion on todays bumper,Arkwright is well related and Mullins should have a good line on Meades runner through Kate Applbys Shoes. With the decs just in from Thurles, Wylies Belshill is given the chance,2nd in his only run in a point, the standout on that run is he had Bordini a length and a half behind. Sundays listed race should be a cracker, good field,i've a lot of meas in what i've seen Lyrical Theatre do so far.
Mullins had a few reverses last week,Pearl Diamond and Master Of Verse being beat at odds on,his Bordini won nicely. In 2014 has 96 runners so far in bumpers and 37 wins showing a slight level stakes profit.Meade meanwhile has 5 wins for the year from 37 runners showing a minus $16 to level stakes.
Bit surprised the way it is going, they are taking each other on a bit more than i thought,it is a real David and Goliath all the same and not sure Meade has any ammo(maybe Rathnure Rebel)while Mullins has an embaressment of talent.

Give it up Pa, you and wildman are being a total pair of narcissistic fools over this hair brained theory. You should have some morsel of humility and admit that you are totally wrong instead of trying to justify what can be seen as clearly wrong. You jumped to a very foolish looking conclusion using a small sample pool.

Mullins if they run on Thur+Sat should be short and look the obvious likely winners from the entries. Sunday could be a bumper befitting the grade 1 ststus of the earlier races if one of the Ricchi horses line up along with Rathnure Rebel.
Looking back on last weeks bumper, Meades Aengus stayed on best to beat Cappacon and a strong travelling Arkwright who you would have to be disappointed with.Bellshill was all out to hold off de Bromheads Attribution, pair went clear to not totally dismiss them, still not sure them two races were anything special. Very impressed again with Lyrical Theatre and she seems to be by far the best we have seen so far this season,Twentytwos taken is very likely better than that but there was enough in behind to say Lyrical deserves her place easily in March's bumper. Still you would think a few machines will surface from Clonsutton yet.

Willie Mullins has far more bumper horses now so the tacit little arrangement is dead, nothing lasts forever.
