The Irish forum is history. All the good information is coming via private messages.
Too many bored people looking for a chat/argument on here. |

well said

Agreed.
When pointless, repeditive GAA debates from the same few are taking centre stage and quality posters like Keen Leader are being lambasted for having the audacity to freely speak his mind and being vilified because for once his rating of a horse might not be spot on. The good info has always come by PM anyway. That said the Bumper King gave me a heads up one day, horse never looked interested and I lost my shirt. Done me up like a kipper he did, 500 notes down the swanny. |

To give you another example, I advised a bet on an understrength Germany last week and when it came a cropper with the very last kick of the game 'Salt of the Earth' Pa Lapsy openly j1zzed himself. I was picking the ejaculate out of my hair for days.
The very next day he was having a go at another poster for having the audacity to slag a losing poster. You couldn't make it up. Sheer hypocrisy. |

Does anybody in their right mind think that people are going to come on here and give inside knowledge to complete strangers....anyone who is even remotely influenced by what they read on here needs to be sectioned.....
Ive seen it a hundred times.....people put up a thread wondering is there any rain at a certain racetrack.....there are plenty who live nearby yet no reply.....then some idiot starts a thread telling people to lay some favourite......50 replies.... most tipping different horses in various races.... |
|
By:
Most threads are discussion threads.
No one expects inside information but sometimes others opinions can sway you. Its well known my dislike of Dawn Approach I put him up as a lay but got some great reasons to proceed with caution most notably from Pa Lapsy who has put a brake on me on more than one occasion. Opinions on trainers and jockeys always generate a lot of interest. A recurring theme here is about the good old days when apparently gems were being exchanged,I doubt it. |

Inside knowledge doesnt interest me or many other posters on here, as how many times have we seen it come a cropper.
Even those Asian lads working at Ballydoyle couldnt make it pay but thats another story. All I can say is that this forum used to be a bit of craic, with some decent discussion and now every thread is littered with insults when someone puts their neck on the line or doesnt agree with someone else. How did this happen? few slagging ,matches fair enough but its gotten completely out of hand, I mean its frightening to think that the majority of the posters are grown men. Where are the threads where we ca just talk about horses football etc and a worthwhile discussion is started? None of us are angels but for gods sake, everyone has lost the plot. |

Ozymandius.......The GAA debates are long gone from the Irish forum, a select few made sure of that.

well in deep october ill make a prediction that dublin will win next yrs all ireland football in a canter. 6/4 is a good price if you can afford tying up money for 11 months.. ..the hurling is trickier.id say limerick will go very close with average luck. discuss!!

By 'debates', I mean the paranoid 'our sport is bigger than yours', 'ours is growing faster etc' weekly yawn-in. Who cares?
This paranoia debates back to 'the ban'...when you tried to stop people playing sports they wanted to. Astonishing backwardness and an abomonation. It's a wonder we have any other sports at all. |
|
By:
I think only your mate Rocketfingers cares. The rest just wind him up until he come back with a different slant.
I wasn't around during the ban and I'm sure most people playing now never heard of it. Get over it Ozymandius, it will eat you up. |

By:
I don't give two hoots! You will always have the stain of 'the ban' on your souls. |
