kavvie, IF it was a palpable error then they are justified in calling it such. What price should your selection have been, in your opinion, at time of bet placement? If you're convinced you've been wronged you should not let it go by simply posting your dissatisfaction on here. I don't know your betting history with them but perhaps they will be pleased that you're not going to bet with them again.

Can't be a palpable error with 2/7,1/4 available elsewhere and is not an acceptable excuse.

I placed a tryscorer bet sunday via PP dial a bet.
Bet placed fine ,it was €20 on a 16/1 shot .

The girl who took the bet rang me back 10 minutes later to say the traders will only allow you €5 on it.
In fairness to the girl she was embarrassed by the whole thing herself.

Dragons v Treviso ,it was live on tv as well.

Scratch that €20 bet bit lm  just thinking it was only €15 l put by phone ,,l ended up putting €20 on in the shop.

When l questioned how it was placed and suddenly now cant be honoured she explained she couldn't find the odds in her system so she went online and took the odds from there.
She then planned to place the bet after hanging up from me to speed things up as l was on hold a while as she looked for the bet.
She said it was her fault really but didn't think there would be any problems with a €15 bet.

The fookers made her ring back up tho ,why not say you made a mistake there next time be more careful or ring themselves if it was such a big deal.

Bet lost as well in the end.

they dont want winners.simple as.if you show any intelligence at all they will restrict you on a scale of 1 to 10(mugs and losers one end)..i know how they operate but cant reveal it here.the only chance you have is the shops..

Assuming your case is watertight, kavvie, why don't you make a complaint? If you don't follow it up you will,at least in large part, have answered the question posed in your opening post above.

1/46 is a bizarre price. If there were other bookmakers going 1/3 or 2/7 then there is no way its a palpable error. Was it an in running bet ?

Know someoene who had input to some of their systems , kavvie , can echo your comments .  Shops up here are OK as long as you are not tearing the ass out of it .

Some people have the wherewithal to open another one though!!

How in the name of Jesus do you expect to get best price in a morning if you are waiting for a shop to open??
