Absolutely cracking card. As regards Free Eagle, well he could still prove to be the best of the 3 year old crop, though he is running out of time. He had, and still has, the potential to be special.

Its rare a flat horse gets me really excited, but Free Eagle done that today. He was absolutely awesome. I hoped before today that he may be the best 3 year old in training, I have little doubt now. The 4s for the Champion is a seriously good bet imo. Unless unsound in the morning, that will be the route. I cant see what will beat him. Frighteningly, he may improve a good bit for today.
Having had him backed at fancy prices for Guineas and Derby, its a case of what might have been...

3/1 and 11/4 still available but I don't think they will last much longer,Australia is also a possible runner in the QE11
Free Eagle: Looks likely to take his chance in the Qipco Champion Stakes The son of High Chaparral returned from over a year on the sidelines with a spectacular victory in the Enterprise Stakes on Irish Champions Weekend at Leopardstown and is primed to step up to the highest level on October 18.
Profiles Free Eagle "He's in good form, I'm pleased with him and the Champion Stakes looks the logical way to go with him," Weld told At The Races.
"He's a very talented colt and please god we'll keep him right for his next race."
Asked whether Free Eagle was likely to stay in training next season, the trainer said: "If everything goes well and he comes out of his next race okay, that would be the plan."

I would be very surprised dj, if Australia didn't run in the QE11. Once Kingman came out, it looks their best option.
He has nothing to gain in the Champion Stakes, but quite a bit to lose. If he nail the Group One over a mile, he will have redeemed his reputation somewhat. Also will let APOB harp on about what speed he has etc.
I think and hope Free Eagle puts on a show on Saturday. If he is as good as believe he is, the 3-1 will look some price. And we have him to look forward to next year too.

Yeah hopefully as I am normally very reluctant to get involved ante-post. The fixed odd books have never been as clueless (ignoring the obvious problems),they priced up the Prescott filly today at 7/4 and 6/4 last night.

PP have Australia at 5/4 with a run in the QE11,looks very decent, won't like to see Hannon change his mind with Olympic Glory who was devastating Sunday but other than that hard to see him beat if he goes that route, your two and Quick Jack this Saturday has tempted me with a little go at a 58/1 treble at pp's current prices. Wondering would there be this "related contingency" that i heard about, certainly a punters bet.

Did it myself for only a score, you can see the flaws with the book on the scenario if Aus goes QE11, you are getting 58/1 for what will in effect be a very likely 10 or 12/1 on sps on the respective day/s, I did it more for the hell of it than anything, not sure whether the related contingency is the right term either as thats more used in slightly different as you know, not sure at all how they could sort it out tbh, maybe around a 1/3 off the price of Free Eagle?. Think if Quick Jack was left out it would be a beaut altogether, you are looking at 15/2ish,in all honesty think they have a case, but watchya do? They couldn't void it. Hopefully they come in anyway for Dj and Callit.

Its ante post, so I see know reason why it should be void/deductable. Apart from maybe the 'with a run' proviso. But equally, if Australia runs in CS, and beats Free Eagle into 2nd, I cant see them ringing you up to refund you!
If I combine Un de Sceaux for the Arkle, Faugheen for the CH, and Vautour for the JLT, then they could be perceived to related bets aswell. If Vautour wins the JLT, he wasn't in the other two, and so on. Where would it end if they could do that?
There is a massive over round on ante post races, you pay your money, and you take your chances. I don't think there will be a problem.
Backing the same horse to win two different events would obviously be different.
On a side note, I think Australia should be bigger than 5-4 in the QE11 if he runs, and I think Free Eagle may be a drifter on the day in the CS. The English wont rate him. I am on already, but will hold fire on a top up until the day. I think his price may be a pleasant surprise. Quick Jack will need a Vintage Crop style plunge to start less than 4-1.
Pa, if that treble ends up at 10/12-1 sp, I will give up gambling!

Major drift on the Grey Gatsby for the Champion Stakes out to 21 on here, with the continued doubts about Australia's participation (matched 8.0 last night),it could well develop into an effective match between Cirrus and Free Eagle

Barry Orr there put the drift on Australia in the Qipco due to the ground going against him and may not run, while that may be the case and could happen more likely by far Callit is right i think. He made a big hoo haa with the betfair sportsbook that they are going 6 places and top priced 7/1 for Quick Jack on Saturday, cheers Barry for the E7.15 ew you let me have on.

ROFTW is probably overpriced at 20 on here despite obviously being more effective over 12 furlongs,I would think there is a reasonable chance of him lining up after running a fine race in this last year (beaten a neck and half length by Fahrr and CDA).
It's important to bear in mind DK's cautious approach also and ante post betting is effectively a multiple bet. There must be a reasonable chance of soft ground and I would make FE about a 2/5 shot to line up.
After race at Leopardstown Thu, 15th Aug, 2013 (1st) He did what I expected him to do and he's just a lovely colt. He's impressing us all the time and is a laidback colt. We'll see how he comes out of it but he's so relaxed I'd expect that he'll come out of it well. He'll have one more run. I've no definite plans, maybe the Beresford and he's also in the Racing Post Trophy, we'll see. If the ground is soft in the Beresford then he'll go to the Racing Post Trophy if it is nice ground. He's a stayer with speed and is a horse with an awful lot to look forward to next year. He's great looking, quickens in two strides and stays well. He has a lovely attitude, temperament and confirmation. Everything a good horse needs. He's going to be a top-class horse. D K Weld

Ominous movements on here and the generous PP compilers for any Free Eagle punters.(on a separate note PP have also pushed Vautour out a chunk for the Arkle)
The cautious DKW must be reluctant to run him on soft ground, the grey gatsby ruled out today.

Yeah, Free Eagle looks a doubtful runner. I thought they would ley run regardless of conditions, as he has all winter to get over a hard race on bottomless ground. Weld is certainly of the cautious variety alright though. Noble Mission looks incredibly short. Is the Frankel factor the cause? If the Eagle doesn't fly, CDA could end up being overpriced.

A good bit of rain has fall in the south of England the last few days, more f/c this evening and Wednesday, CDA and Noble Mission look the two most suited with what could be not far off heavy by Sat. That Rich Ricchi interview i thought conflicted with Vautour, possiblely their ch hur horse?,
