Didnt need anyone to stop that, it was goosed half way round.  Having D McDonagh training it wont help!  Only had it a month or less before the Punchestown so it was still right.  Now he has had it for 4 or 5 months its form will plummet!

Have to agree with wonks here. He really is a disgusting individual. Once you see him on one like this, the race, naturally, becomes a no bet race. How has he got a licence?

Workrider......... I thought you were giving this game up the way u went on back in April about O`Brien......Mmmmmmmmmm I do think ur alright though. U do study a lot but get it wrong too many times, well that`s going by what u put up here.

One I remember off the top of my head, is a Galway maiden......... Jamaica vs Postulation, now I know Jamaica went off long odds-on but I got 5/4.... but you came on when Keen Leader said he thinks the Weld horse should improve more than Jamaica. How you both thought that is beyond me. Re-watch the race at the Curragh and I`m sure u would agree you read the race wrong. I`m sure I joined in on the thread and said I would be very surprised if the Weld reverses the form.

And I do think Jamaica will turn out to be a decent horse maybe over a stiff mile this season and a better middle distance performer at 3.

Jamaica will not turn out decent. He looked very laboured winning his maiden as did Postulation who go no run in Galway. Both are very average and neither will win a group race.  I said this before his run at York and layed it accordingly and was proved right.

Jamaica is bred to be something like a Leger horse, or certainly a 12 furlong animal.

Whatever standard he turns out to be, he should prove better than his form at the moment, as what he was doing running in an Acomb is beyond me. I thought he ran ok in it under the circumstances and he still has plenty of potential, but he surely needs at least a mile even at too?

Be interesting to see him in something like that 10f Group 1 at Saint Cloud at the end of the year to see what he can do, as it can produce some funny results. Maybe he will be the next Mediterranean for them now and be an Ebor horse next year.

Not sure that maiden is as good as it first looked , Easygold you are correct about me , I get it wrong more times than I get it right , but with over 40 yrs of punting behind me I'm still hanging on in there ...

Wonks....40 years of punting is no boast.... I'd say you haven't the brain to pack it up would be more like the reality.....look at what you could have done with all that money that's been squandered .... It's out next to Bono you should be living not in leafy Tallaght....

Horse racing is not all about winning Group 1`s, I do feel Jamaica is a fair horse. York is an awful track using that venue as a guide. I`m sure he will hold his own in due course, when running in the right conditions but a stiff mile for now.

Bigwillystyle.......... a Group race.......... You do know there are poor Group races throughout the calendar year........ this fellow could easily win some sort of Group race in time.

I will come back to you.........

Agreed on York and O'Brien has had numerous horses chinned in that race over the past 10-15 years.

Racing for Coolmore/Ballydoyle is all about winning group 1s and handicaps mean next to nothing, although some of them will obviously allow them to get their wagers down on a well handicapped horse.

If Jamaica was with Smark he would have three runs around 6f and come back next year as a 50 rated animal.

Having said that, Smark does not seem to be able to get wins out of many of these 50 rated horses this year.

An armchair ride there for Davy though he was probably left in front a bit early, she is a half sister to Pat Flynn's Galway hurdle winner Bahrain Storm.

Did anyone notice the blunder early this morning, the usual pre-formed liquidity with fivers and tenners at 2.4-2.5 price range when someone sticks up €562 @ 3.2.

"York is an awful track"
I don't think I've heard it described like that before and I don't know on what basis?
I'd consider it a fine very fair galloping track. 1m6f around if I'm right and almost 4.5 furlong straight run in. No excuses. One of the best tracks in England surely?

Hi Mitch, just read back my thread, an awful track for the horse, i.e too sharp over that trip.
