When and where did the rape take place and has anyone been brought to justice for it?
After reading the story there,i might be wrong but i'm sceptical about it.

lads, the battle against multiculturalism in Ireland has been lost and the price to be paid in time will be horrific.
the state did not put a stop to these chancers coming in here over the last few years when the country was on its knees, a lost opportunity, the gates remain wide open for exploitation.

it is amazing they all have sob stories and come fully aware of how to exploit dear old Ireland, yet you ask themhow they got here, most from countries with no direct flights to Ireland and they suffer amnesia.

one of the great ironies of this whole story are the duplicitious folk in sinn fein.....you know they are falling all over these poor unfortunate immigrants, pleading for mercy all the time....no mention of where the money iscoing from to support them....at the same time sf have a big problem with fellow islanders marching down a few streets....as far a I see sf would be happy to let all of Africa and parts of the middle east into Ireland if they were in control.

damage done in Ireland, seeds planted for horrendous consequences in time.........as an old fashioned conservative Christian, I must admit I have some regard to mr putin and his policies, corrupt or not, we may be better off with his like in control in Ireland.

the problem is ,if you express yourself in that manner your accused or racisism etc..a la ozy..political correctness gone wrong.lugs brannigan had the right idea..

Quite extraordinary that anyone could class Ireland as 'multi-cultural' given the demographics.

Irish (including dual-Irish/other): 86.9%, UK: 2.5%, Other EU 27: 6.1%, Other Europe: 0.7%, Asia: 1.5%, Africa: 0.9%, USA: 0.2%, Other countries: 0.5%, Multiple nationality: 0.1%, Not stated: 1.2% (2011)

Its about as mono-cultural as the first world gets.
Report The Gotchee August 21, 2014 4:07 PM BST
Dual-Irish. Where is that country?
Report tony57 August 21, 2014 4:09 PM BST
yes kavie,
oz does have a more liberal view than kl, but he's entitled to that as much as kl is to his..its all about expressing your point of view..in the hope others who may disagree with you at least respect it?..my own view is immigration is out of control now the eu has let in the poorer countries...so soon after the crash?..how our so called politicians, did not see it coming is baffling?it has enhanced the rise of right wing views all over as the recent elections showed!
Report Ozymandius August 21, 2014 4:21 PM BST
I can't find that breakdown Gotchee.  Many of the countries that you would be 'concerned' about do not allow 'dual citizenship'.

Another way of looking at it would be ethnic background:

Ethnic backgrounds: White Irish: 84.5%, Irish Travellers: 0.7%, Other White: 9.1% (total White: 94.3%), Asian: 1.9%, Black: 1.4%, Other: 0.9%, Not Stated: 1.6% (2011)
Report keen leader August 21, 2014 4:40 PM BST
no point debating with ozy who for my money is a pretend liberal piss taker............the relevant stats are the births and these tourists or semi-tourists(when rooted), account for a disproportionate number of irish births as compared to their percentage of population....and the census figures can be bull too, as many of these tourists will have avoided it.

tony, I remember 30 years ago and more travelling around many towns in Lancashire and Yorkshire for instance, quintessentially English at the time.....today they are a sight for sore eyes...thanks to uncontrolled immigration.....the ostrichs with their heads in the ground in Ireland, deny this is coming down the line to Irish towns.

as for liberalism...meant to mean...all freely entitled to their views....actually the term has become an oxymoron. people are racist, people are anti gay, people are anti jew, anti-muslim etc,....they are views, good or bad, liberalism does not stretch to the limit of permitting such views.

the ultimate end game for liberalism and its supporters, is a homogeneous world.....keep dreaming!

you are spot on about the towns in lancs and yorks kl,..most are taken over now ..but Asian community are now complaining about foreigners?!!!the police had to patrol parts of lancashire this summer cos of tension between the gypsies and the Asians? the Pakistani community are using the same rhetoric as ukip?lol..but sadly its not funny when our hospitals and schools are at breaking point?..i don't blame the romanians or Bulgarians they only want a better life..i blame the politicians

Report wildmanfromborneo August 21, 2014 5:27 PM BST
All are afraid to ask the relevant question because of the intolerant liberals who don't allow differing views.

What about the rapists human rights, its his baby does Kingrats compassion extend to this gentleman, surely he should be allowed in here to visit his child with house and money to follow, what about his extended family, grandparents etcetera surely they are entitled to see their grandchild on compassionate grounds of course.

There is now a costly inquiry, more terrified health workers who know they will be blamed and the end result will be the ubiquitous claim.
Report tony57 August 21, 2014 5:30 PM BST
yes kavie..very true..and Wildman..instead of keeping the beast in jail..and as far away from the poor child as possible they will pay to look after him till the child is old enough to decide wether it wants a relationship with him?human rights?..amazing..
Report kingrat August 21, 2014 5:39 PM BST
imo we should not pay any heed to to the likes of old pa,wildman  and his ilk, they left when the going got tough.and then they think they have a right to say how this country should be run.
it was the little people of this country that tougened it out, sucked it up,didn't expect much that build this country.

That's would only further extend your current losing streak KL.

Its a shame that I seem to be the only one who ever introduces statistics to this particular debate.
Report wildmanfromborneo August 21, 2014 6:27 PM BST
Pictures and statistics are your infantile contribution but no understanding of the topic.
Report Ozymandius August 21, 2014 6:31 PM BST
In 15,000 post I have never seen you once back up a point with a relevant stat.  You talk about costs of immigrants, burden on health services etc with zero factual back up  Easier to huff and puff rather than make a reasoned comment based on statistical fact.
Report wildmanfromborneo August 21, 2014 6:38 PM BST
I don't need a weatherman to show me which way the wind blows.

That's your crippled mind unless you have some statistical chart or some diagrams you can't comprehend.

I don't need any statistical facts to know its madness to keep on accepting unaccompanied minors, madness to permit the Lagos shuttle carry on,madness to try an inflict boy soldiers from the Congo on us.

You can't get proper statistics as you are not allowed ask relevant questions, ask those doctors that complained to McDowell.
Report Ozymandius August 21, 2014 6:50 PM BST
No one is suggesting our borders should remain wide open, that is a completely nefarious suggestion.

The fact is the burden placed on the State by these people who you despise is, in the overall scale of things, fairly insignificant.  We have much bigger challenges, as convenient as it is to blame immigrants for our own failings.

The money is not significant is a bogus argument, the corollary of that is you can never make a small cut.
Its also the argument of every bogus pressure group, for the want of a measly few million we could still run our call centre etc.
