By:
im hoping to be over later in the week mate..murder getting a direct flight..call you tomorrow
By:
just took 14/1 for swynmor..e/w..and pp are 11/8 for welds
By:
Is Call Vinnie really Welds only bumper runner of the week? Seems strange
By:
bunk off early 6-10
storm away 6-45 kilruane sea 7-15 |
By:
Tony, how u think a horse @ 11/8 is value in a bumper that never raced on goodish ground over 2m is beyond me. Yes it`s trained by Mr Galway but that p2p the horse won was very poor. He could of course win but it`s a complete guess....... and at 11/8?????? so what if it wins.

By:
Donatis Comet running in the handicap hurdle should be of interest to Wildmanfromborneo tomorrow...
By:
Fancy Swynmor strongly myself,Best of luck.
By:
easygold,..I totally understand your point of view..but I carnt tell you why I fancy it ..only that I do..they were very confident about this horse and it was to run in a better race on Saturday?..but they go tonight...evens now..not saying it,ll go off shorter but 11/8 may seem good come 8.20....its all about opinions..you make a fair point..
By:
i see henry higgins(5.10) was punted overnight from 14/1 to 4/1.what mugs were backing him?.pennys would have shifted him in.if they waited etc..
By:
mr mischief,
im told it is weld only bumper runner...I don't think they have as many nh horses as normal..? |
By:
swynmor up a stone tony?a good horse for sure but its hard carry weight up that unforgiving hill..
By:
Call Vinnie may very well win but a lot of Vinnie Roes appear as slow as boats to me
By:
yes kavie..my worry also..thats why I was surprised they never got a good claimer on?..Quinn is a shrewdy..and must think its got some chance?won with yards claimer on with a low weight @chester?..so I was really surprised they don't claim off him?..
By:
surprised myself.theres lots of good 5/7lb claimers in ireland at mo.codd is a good rider tho
By:
P.Conn for me in the Bumper, back on goodish ground, that form with B.Her, Cillian`s looks fine....... T.Mullis does fine with his bumper horses here and worth an e/w 12/1
By:
The Weld horse in the bumper is too short in my opinion.
I like the Elliott/Carberry Crown Theatre at 10/1 A Kings Theatre gelding out of a Montelimar dam. Nice bumper breeding. The other one with nice breeding is Sharks but he is 0/16 Galway bumpers |
By:
0/16 is one of Sharks better ratios!!

For those that want a bet at Galway, but don't have the time to be doing their own research, Dec Meagher is doing a free tips service on his LearnBetWin site. Considering his premium service is operating at an ROI of over 30% profit, it is well worth a look for the week.

most market moves today are influenced by Ireland's top two most prominent tipsters: all selections based on form book. Gary O'B's Henry Higgins and Primogeniture with Ozy's lovechild selecting Grecian Tiger and Botanical lady.
Money for Aidan's in the maiden (allowing Weld to start at higher odds than expected?), Tony martin in the handicap hurdle so then only two relatively unexposed punts is Tom Mullins bumper horse Princely Conn (looks pretty exposed) and Brian Ellison's Streets Of New York (Weld or a high-calibre Irish NH trainer tend to win this) The 2m handicap is always a minefield but following beaten horses that shorten in the market is generally a successful strategy. Last year gave us Domination, Rossvoss, Call Me Bubbles & Notable Graduate. From 6 starts: W L L W W W (not nec in that order) |
By:
kavvie , seems a fair bit of money for Henry . Must say I give him a good chance , and anyone who is on at big odds ( even for small amounts ) must have a winning hand .

i see henry higgins(5.10) was punted overnight from 14/1 to 4/1.what mugs were backing him?.pennys would have shifted him in.if they waited etc.. Is that why he's pulled? |
By:
henry higgins nr....14/1 into 100/30 right people not on maybe
By:
Some people got no patience for a gamble, Loose lips and all that.
By:
Right people not on indeed...
By:
just noticed that Sweetman goes for Artful Artist and Pricewise for Streets of NY: so virtually all "money" based on tipping sites. Have most connections kept their powder try until the on-course market with one or two notable exceptions? One thing's for sure....no springers about yet.

By:
Didn't think Call Vinnie was particularly impressive in his p2p to be honest.
Looked to me as if the rest fell in a heap and he picked up the pieces. |
By:
LAYING WELDS IN THE FIRST , LAYING JAMAICA THOUGHT THIS LAD WAS A LITTLE KEEN AT THE CURRAGH THINK THE HILL WILL FIND HIM OUT.......
By:
Reason I'm laying Welds in the first is mainly Morga , she has been running in good flat races , and is a proven jumper , something Dermot's still has to prove , although coming from that yard is sure to be well schooled , plus a few improvers in the field so not as cut and dried as it looks...
By:
Liking Morga in the first, 2 from 2 over hurdles & the best of these on the flat(Danger is Martins Gigginstown runner)
Beckwith Star / Sports Line small dutch bet in the next, Both eyecatching lto. Jamaica looked a certain nto winner on debut but at the odds I'll not get involved. Fire Fighter was running on well lto over 1m6f, Wins off 75 & 81 on the flat so looks fairly treated here off 71 including jockeys claim, 4 of his 5 wins in handicaps with 2 of those at todays trip. Lady Clitico hasn't finished out the places since upped to todays trip, Hope the pieces work again today. Good luck everyone, Small stakes day for me with a good week ahead. |
By:
horrible card for both laying or punting purposes. simply have to back welds postulation at 7/4 against Jamaica, welds received the better education at the curragh and the market is wrong. happy to bet flight plan at 7/2each way without welds in the bumper.
By:
Glad to see we agree re Jamaica Keen..
By:
Trappy card to start the week and looking forward to going later in the week, but for now I'll watch, enjoy and see what results are thrown up.
Placepot for interest: 5.10 Morga 5.40 Roman Numerial Wildcatted 6.10 Jamaica 6.45 Digenta Quick Jack 7.15 Expensive Taste Botanical Lady 7.45 Primogeniture Interesting sub-plot in the 7.45 with Oxx taking on Weld's Aga Khan runner. I would think that the Oxx yard "would love it if they beat them"!! |

were off..the best week in racing....
