Nice racing at The Curragh today an I like three E/W Selections.

3.35  SIX OF HEARTS. Running consistently well of late, stamina was overstretched last time out but now back to optimum trip. Decent 7lb claimer on board and on a dangerously low mark, 12/1 looks generous.

5.45 LUSTROUS. Second(finishing well) to Bracelet beaten half a length at Royal Ascot. It was her first time at a mile and a half having previously been campaigned over a mile. I expect more improvement this afternoon and 16/1 is value considering Bracelet is as short as 6/1.

6.20 BREATHE EASY Dropped in trip last time and unable to dominate. With the smaller field and up in trip this looks a little easier. I think he is still improving and there may be more to come 16/1

I think Mick Halford could have a good day , Eastern Rules and    Toscanini will be to the fore and both should win , and my treble will hopefully be completed by Tarfasha ...Good luck all..

3.00 Curragh: Parish boy @ 9/2 (ew)-PP,Spoils.BFred

I really liked the way this New Approach colt ran on (very green and there should be plenty of improvement) his debut at leoparstown in what I thought at the time looked a strong maiden. This impression has been heightened by the subsequent runs of its participants,
Gleneagles (4th) won a Curragh maiden on his next run,Toscanelli (6th) also won his maiden (Limerick),Quinte Verde (3rd) was beaten a SH and a nose in a fillies Group three.

Ripped finished eight in that Leopardstown maiden (three lengths behind Parish Boy) and then subsequently finished a half length behind St.Patrick's day conqueror (Crescent) at Gowran. Obviously that form line can't be read literally as he would have improved significantly from debut.

St.Patrick's day is a deserving favourite and stayed on in a visually impressive manner at Naas but we don't know the strength of that race yet.Parish boy's price of 9/2 is completely wrong and I would price him up at sub 3/1.

Parish Boy is a NR

Laddies,365 and Spoils shorten the fav to approx 8/13 and keep Parish boy @ 4/1,it has been going on for ever but it really is a disgusting practice.

Backed that last night at 9-4 Snap. Went in again at 7-4 this morning. Couldn't believe the price it went off.

Backed Tarfasha here, with a stake saver on Marvellous.

Good day for you Gotchee (16/1) and the Shanahan horse ran a great race in the big one. Mark ruined though and she didn't get the fourth which was a pity.

Generally 12's with the fiexed odds books but could well have been 16's on here or in a place, three non runners which equate to approximately €0.35 of a rule 4 (depending on the time)but there was still plenty of money from him,a big double for Sabrina Harty.

No of course it wasn't.....the best price at any time was 12/1 with anybody......at the time the gobshee posted it was no better than 10/1 with any firm available on the high st in Ireland........on top of that there would be around a 35p rule 4 as well with the 3 non runners......minimum 30p and possibly as high as 40.....
In all fairness to the fella he did say tip the horse ew along with two duds.....but why bother making up his own prices?.....

A momentous day for the gobshee, not alone making up phantom prices for his e/w selections, actually manages to stumble into a winner also!

There is a first for everything I suppose!

Unlike snot crackhead and ponce, I study the form and as a result make my selections. I put a lot of work into it and it does pay dividends.
snot's method of backing very short priced favourites, who he sees shortening on oddschecker, is high risk and non profitable.
Snot gave us his weekend Nap(the usual favourite) 2 minutes before the race. In fairness to him it was a winning favourite. But what really took the biscuit was his post race comment which is a real beauty, "Twas put up as a max bet from my mate over there(Aftertimers Arms) this morning", a comment straight out of the 2014 Aftertimers Annual.Laugh

My Titania looks a bet today, though the 11-10 has dried up, and even gone a shade of odds on on here. She was pretty free at Ascot, when needing the run. That should have taken the freshness out of her, and Oxx will be confident she will improve for the outing. That will be good enough to account for these.

Bet of the day for me is Molly Connors in the first at Tipp. 9-4 is a cracking bet. Davy will jump out in front, and that will be the last they will see of her.

Connections don't envisage defeat for Clara McCloud in the 2nd there.

Best of Luck.

2 big plays today.

Laying Indelible Ink in opener at Redcar at 2/1. This has no chance. Will be place laying also.

Laying My Titania at evs. What a ludicrous price this is. Plenty in here with chances.

As you well know Callitasucit the first, third and fifth from that Punchestown race have subsequently obliged, she is certainly bigger than I thought she would be,hopefully Davy can settle her early as she tends to be free.A decent opportunity for Davy to exploit while Andrew Lynch is out injured,he rode a winner for Dreaper/Potts the other day as well.
