According to Racing Post today they are on target to make 1 Million profit this year. Hard to believe
I find their website poor, no mention of jackpot pool and never advertises the Jackpot carryover. Not won tonight at Kilbeggan and have to rely on the Racing Post to find out which meeting it goes to.
When are they going to allow Betfair clients to do jackpot through their accounts again? That was very interesting while it lasted. Tote management a frustrating bunch.

It shows to me you can anything with figures. To me the Irish Tote is a bloated unreserved disaster,run by those in it for those in it. The website is very difficult to navigate. The cards are not put up promptly on the website. The 1.02 place dividends are all too common. It needs a big up but it will not happen.

Overheard a man at Punch the other day say he would never bet with them again , dividends were to bad he said , I backed the first winner Weds @ 15/8 returned odds on on the tote ..

The best bet introduced in the last number of years was the Pick 6 as long as the guarantee stayed in place.....it started at 50k.....then was reduced to 25k.....but now in the last day or two has been reduced to 10.....which after the astronomical take out of 30% only leaves 7.....That in reality has killed all interest and now we will see miniscule pools again with nobody taking any notice of the bet.....
You can see by the carry on at the races that its a shambolic outfit.....the pick 6 pool tonight in Dundalk was 690 euro and the jackpot in Downpatrick was 216.....you'd win more at bingo than that.... |
