Have said it before but it beggars belief that Billy Lee  is behind this fella at Wachmans and. stacks. He is head and shoulder ahead of Lordan in ever facet of race riding. Presume weight has something to do with it.

Billy Lee is wasting his time in Ireland. He should consider moving further afield where  opportunities are based on talent rather than privilige or nepotism

totally agree.think billy is a fine rider.getting more rides from the likes of willie mullins on the flat and Eddie Lynam.i'd have him ahead of the likes of Shane foley and Chris Hayes even.amazed one of stack or wachman hasn't made him their number one with lordan sticking with the other stable. in saying that he'd probably want a very good offer to go across channel and I'm not sure there is any of those in the offing.

Lordan has done 8-04 while Lee's lowest effort recently is 8-10. By comparison Ryan Moore can do 8-06 and, according to the stats, even Richard Hughes managed 8-06 over last 12months.

I do agree Lee is hugely under appreciated but as Lordan rode a few syndicate winners for me I've always rated him. His first G1 on Sole Power was a marvellous effort.

Lordan is a right rider but has for me an unfortunate connection which might prevent him getting some rides.

with all the dough that the Stacks and Wachmans gambles can get on he'd surely lose his job in an instant if there were any leaks. on the other hand its likely that a certain person does know and how he handles the knowledge must be interesting?

Are ye bonkers.....with lordan and this so called connection......that's certainly not holding him back.....
Report RoyalAcademy July 3, 2014 2:21 PM BST
I don't think its holding him back paulie; how does he manage it?
Report paulie wallnuts July 3, 2014 2:45 PM BST
From what I can gather royal.....the connection stopped asking the wee man anything along time ago......and it wasn't because he was winning too much from what he was being told.....the little man like most of his peers would break Barings Bank a second time if you listened to him.....

makes perfect sense..thanks

Surprising thread....don't think there are too many better jockeys in Ireland tbf....everyone has their own opinion i suppose.
Report wildmanfromborneo July 3, 2014 10:58 PM BST
I'm disappointed in Paulie.

Historically all the punting jockeys lost that's from Danny Maher to Tod Sloane to Charlie Smirke but that's not the point the perception that information could get into the wrong hands is what counts.

Hartley is right Lordan is a real jockey able to ride on the big occasions too but despite his Coolmore connection he has yet to ride for Aidan OBrien, its that other connection that's holding him back.

Lordan dose nt talk just not his way
Report wildmanfromborneo July 4, 2014 12:53 PM BST
Someone else doesn't pay not his way.

He wasn't too busy on Prince Connoisseur tonite.  Horse NEVER put in race.  They'll use the excuse regarding track.
Report richters July 5, 2014 7:43 PM BST
ye see the state of him on the gorman 2yo in the first.....
Report neill d July 5, 2014 7:59 PM BST
That Gorman 2yo was green to the extent that you'd wonder what on earth it had been doing at home. He gave the path about 3 foot in the final few furlongs.
