In my book -yes.
My general expectation would be 2-0. |

Brittle confidence, history of not delivering, overbet. About half the team without Champions League experience. An over-reilance on Rooney as saviour; he is never the answer.
Uruguay would need to be very poor for England to win, and they may well be. Not sure I would like to be finding out at the current dds though. |

Uruquay are one of the worst teams in the tournament, have been poor for two years now.
England will have more trouble beating Costa Rica than Uruquay, accept they are generally over bet but look certainties to me. |

Uruguay looked one of the worst teams in the tournament in their opening game. Slow at the back, unimaginative in midfield and up front, notwithstanding the fact that their best player was missing.
England on the other hand actually looked quite decent at times in the first half against Italy before the heat and a touch of class from the Italians after the 2nd goal did for them. Barring a monumental imrpovement from Uruguay, England will win tonight IMO Wouldn't be surprised to see Sterling get a goal or 2, he was very good in the first half against Italy. |

They may have looked a very bad team in that game, but I don't beleive they are.
There is a reason why they were favourites for this game not s long ago. In hoss terms, you need to forgive them their last run or at least thread carefully if backing England. |

I agree with you Oz, small bet on Uruguay ht/ft at 7.8 for my interest, and possibly a bit more if a big drift on that.

Uruguay are cack and where hugely overrated coming into the tournament due to their semi finals appearance in the last World Cup and their Copa America win, they're absolutely paceless at the back, hardly that creative in midfield and their best player is coming back from knee surgery a couple of weeks ago and it has to be seen if he is fully fit. England on the other hand are quite decent in my opinion and probably deserved to get something out of the Italy game, i would be bitterly disappointed if they don't win tonight, how Uruguay are going to cope with England's pace going forward i don't know.

I think they're overbet at that price. Money flooding in. i've greened out already. there was an footie chap on the guardian's football podcast (best of the lot) who is an expert on Uruguay and he said everyone in Uruguay were expecting Costa Rica to win. Also thought that Suarez won't make much difference as he won't get the service. price drifting slightly now. think i'll wait and see if i go back in.

Player for player ENGLAND HAVE IT..,SUAREZ cant be match fit after been out for 6weeks,... Englands biggest danger is themselfs...P.F post is bang on.
|

By:
Fairly divided opinion on it,seems the popular synopsis is England are bad but Uruguay are worse, did take note of Cold Turkeys post,in it,s own way if England do win well i,d still be wanting to lay them in the last match, where who knows what price they,ll be.

gone for goals.over 3.5. hopefully Saurez shows up with Mr Rooney. defences poor. conditions also suit for a pacy game.

Time to take some profit, England slightly the better side to be fair. They should get back into this as long as they don't get mugged on the counter.

England are dreadful,Said before WC started i backed them to finish rock bottom
![]() Jagielka is not an international class defender,And as for Gerrard and Henderson in the engine room...... ![]() |

Haven't created one decent chance from open play ozy...i'd let it let sit back chill and make some extra profit

They have earned lot of free kicks and corners, one might fly in. Sterling looks lively.

Well don pa., excellent as usual.

I'm out of here before Borneo rolls home from the barstool, penniless and bitterly lashing out. Could get ugly.

England bottled it, plain and simple. Got back to where they needed to be and then panicked, they where laughable at the back when it went 1-1
|

By:
Thanks the Gotchee, slight bit jammy but the odds were good, in fairness a few others took a strong view as well in regards they weren,t bankers, well done to Callit and Oz in particular also.

Uruguay are 7th in the world, not sure how that makes them one of the worst teams in the tournament,
Their a decent side,No more. |

How good is Suarez.
Despite Uruguay's deficiencies, I don't believe they'd have lost to C Rica if he had been fit. |
