I won't be punting her tomorrow (not too keen on punting debutantes) but still interesting to see how she will get on being by sea the stars and out of dual Guineas winner Finsceal Beo (denied the hat trick by Darjina at Longchamp).

Finsceal Beo's first foal was a colt by Galileo who was retired unraced due to injury when in training with Jim Bolger, Too the Stars is her second offspring (Thursday 3.05 Salisbury) was sold for €800,000 by Al eile Stud farm. Her third offspring is a colt by Montjeu that John Magnier purchased for €2.85 million at Goffs last October.

Really interested in this as well. STS would want to be doing as well as he is considering the book he got. He doesn't get 2yos and his fillies seem to be better than his colts so he's gonna be the preserve of owner-breeders soon enough. Can't think of any colt Cape Cross has sired who did anything at stud either.

That unraced half-brother of Too the stars by Galileo might just be okay at stud. In fact, being unraced might just be his greatest ever advantage!! Mr Greely who Finsceal Beo is by is free of any Northern Dancer to boot. The indelible mark made by the likes of Danzig and Kingmambo proves that nobody is really bothered about soundness if the looks and talent are there in enough measure. I'd rather send a mare to him at 3 or 4k than STS at 80k put it that way. Commercial breeders going to take a massive hit on STS in the coming years, could be another Dylan Thomas who's fee shrunk from 50k to 5k; think he may now be going National Hunt too.
