You are bang on, without checking a price am I right in pricing Jezki at 11/8 ?
Report mitch leary May 1, 2014 10:00 PM BST
jezki based on the way he finished last season.
Report irish_guy_13 May 1, 2014 10:06 PM BST
It's pretty much evens either, just depends where you go.

Going out tomorrow, could never back against the fly, love the horse,as seen before this year when it comes to the small runner field's the fly has come up on top,and after the disappointment of today cant see ruby getting it wrong tomorrow,
Report pa lapsy May 1, 2014 10:39 PM BST
Coin toss, you have The Flys comprehensive wins against him on home soil prior to Cheltenham, his toe shouldn,t be underestimated either. Could be messy, how will it be run? Steps to see a strong pace for Jezki? and possibly get a fair lead making the other two commit a long way out? That would suit Jezki probably though Ruby might get a nice sit. Maybe Ruby should make it?, could see Steps hassling him. Not sure who will lead but looks like it could be a game of poker at some stage maybe Rubys cuteness will win out.

jezki would be a cert with BG riding.  No bet with McCoy riding.  Will probably hit every hurdle on the way round.
Report koikeeper May 2, 2014 1:36 PM BST
If it turns into a sprint the HF will have too much speed imo
Report Santry May 2, 2014 2:11 PM BST
I would prefer if McCoy was not riding Jezki,a horse he doesn,t tune into but I still think Jezki is the one. Young improver v Horse on the dip. Form of Harrington stable also a plus.
Report tony57 May 2, 2014 3:42 PM BST
bigwilly is spot on..with bg on top JEZKI all day..with McCoy..no bet..for me..ive only had the one bet..and that's ON THE FRINGE in the last..

May  be the fly should retire now.
Report tony57 May 2, 2014 5:56 PM BST
for once McCoy did the right thing and fair play won easy..makes me wonder why the horse was not rode from the front last xmas?

Hurricane Fly needs proper soft ground in Grade 1 company
Report slickster May 2, 2014 9:48 PM BST
Hurricane Fly is 10 and sadly on the decline.
Report lustrumm May 2, 2014 9:58 PM BST
McCoy was enough to put me off too. No play although as soon as they jumped off I knew McCoy was doing the right thing for once in a big race in Ireland.
Report Bigwillystyle May 2, 2014 10:45 PM BST
Once they jumped off it was race over. The people that go on about the fly having a turn of foot are talking s hi te. He has a turn of foot on heavy ground and has never had one on good ground.  In fact he has look laboured anytime he has encountered good ground.
Report neill d May 2, 2014 10:50 PM BST
He wasn't able to really lay with Jezki today anyway so what Ruby did or didn't want to do was immaterial. McCoy not settling these top hurdlers is going to be costly somewhere along the line. Respect the man massively for what he has achieved, but Jezki won't win the Champion next year if he doesn't settle... the Tent may well have had his brains blown out already. seemed impossible, but the Champion is set to be an even better race next season.
Report pa lapsy May 2, 2014 10:54 PM BST
Might be talkin **** about turn of foot BWS,But he is regressing and Jezki is improving, **** also talked about Ruby will take the lead.
Report pa lapsy May 2, 2014 10:55 PM BST
sh1te^^
Report Bigwillystyle May 2, 2014 10:55 PM BST
Thought the only way Ruby could win was taking the lead and messing with Jezki.  McCoy rode well for a change!
Report Bigwillystyle May 2, 2014 10:57 PM BST
My Tent will never have any chance in Champion. Not good enough
Report neill d May 2, 2014 10:57 PM BST
Not the horse he was at all I agree Pa, he was a quick horse when he first came on the scene, but the Paddlers Cross Champion Hurdle was the last time we saw that horse to me.
Report pa lapsy May 2, 2014 11:01 PM BST
I did too,and dictate a pace, A P did ride a good race and maybe not enough credit to Jezki at Chels, didn,t have a bet on it, Wildman threw me off altogether while i wanted to be with the Fly.
Report neill d May 2, 2014 11:01 PM BST
He isn't anymore anyway BWS. Giving himself dog hard races over and again by pulling. Will likely give him one more chance if someone else is in the plate over hurdles.

They could go fencing, but Henderson has Josses Hill for the Arkle and doesn't have another obvious CH horse. They should chasing now, less of a stamina test. Might jump better and fill himself up mid-air.
Report neill d May 2, 2014 11:04 PM BST
Well played with the comp as well Pa.
Report pa lapsy May 2, 2014 11:09 PM BST
It wasn,t a holy show of myself Neill thankfully, hope you are sticking your head in a few books from time to time.
Report neill d May 2, 2014 11:10 PM BST
Yeah, head down. Did nothing this week and very little since Fairyhouse.
Report pa lapsy May 2, 2014 11:14 PM BST
Good man, right way to do it,horses will be there for a long time yet.
Report neill d May 2, 2014 11:19 PM BST
These good meetings, you wouldn't need to have a punt to enjoy them tbh. Looks a very good Guineas tomorrow, another one you'd jmust be happy to watch. In hindsight, it would have been ludicrous for a Coventry & Dewhurst winner not to run in the English 2000. Grand free bet was there with War Command, didn't avail alas. AOB was probably just hyping Austrlia when talking about sending him to France instead.
Report pa lapsy May 2, 2014 11:24 PM BST
Yeah, very happy just to watch myself, hoping for the Spanish horse for perverse reasons all the same, have a half eye on Jembatt on Sunday, ought to run well but a handicap with a few in with a chance.
Report neill d May 2, 2014 11:25 PM BST
Thought Big Baz might do something in the 2;05 handicap at Newmarket. He looked decent on his first start at Lingfield and despite winning at Wolver penultimately, I doubt he would be mad about the deep surface there. He has a very good turf pedigree and Muir isn't one to shoot for the stars.
Report pa lapsy May 2, 2014 11:40 PM BST
Really dropped UK racing almost totally unless there is some Irish connection,a lot of "work" and really think you have to know something, very hard to have a good idea with that horse(to me) as exclusively AW so far. As a general note a bad time of the year April/May for horses as neither one thing thing or the other.
Report neill d May 2, 2014 11:51 PM BST
Yeah, there is enough going on alright. Only really look at the Saturday UK stuff. Watched a few recordings of AW cards during the winter evenings when things were quiet and thought he might be one who could go beyond that level.
Report pa lapsy May 2, 2014 11:59 PM BST
Don,t get me wrong Neill,it is your own reasoning for fancying a horse, a bit of devils advocate on my behalf earlier,on the plus side an evens fav in same class albeit Aw,unexposed/fitness/potentially well handicapped and improvement likely given so few runs,a bit going for him as well.
Report neill d May 3, 2014 2:46 PM BST
Hate when people do this, but ended up leaving him Pa based on above... it proved to be a very different test.
Report pa lapsy May 3, 2014 3:01 PM BST
Very well named,he is a big ould yoke. Did watch it and thought he ran with a bit of promise, was just starting to make a bit of ground and got mullered, tried again and same thing to a lesser extent. One to keep and eye on and think he will pop up at a decent price sometime. Not sure he was suited by the undulations there and imo  a flatter track would be better. Without the interference he could have ran well would be my feeling.
Report huddys May 5, 2014 9:18 AM BST
Saying on atr this morning that Mullins thinks there's another few graded races in the fly,and will be upped in trip,
Report Arklearkle May 5, 2014 10:11 AM BST
The French CH perhaps?
