Another win for us tonight , though imo Drogheda were the better team , the league is shaping up to be very interesting ..The downside is the grounds we play in are a disgrace , the toilets there tonight were nothing short of third world ..The smell was shocking , any other country in Europe would close them down ...Surely some disinfectant would not go amiss and its not exactly that costly...

Laugh Frank , I was in the Drogheda end , my son was over in the Rovers end and said you felt sick from the smell of the urinal ...So BOTH toilets needed attention ...Played golf today with a lad who played at Liverpool on the same team as Gerrard and Owen and he was the leading scorer , he said he lost interest when they went and bought Stan Collymore for 10 million and he never got a look in , a fickle game indeed ..My mate on our team played for the Irish over 40s recently against the CZECH REPUBLIC and played against Jan Koler who if i remember correctly is about 6FT 7INS they beat us 1.0..He said Jan is still playing and guess what , that's right he scored the winner ..He PAYS for their flights and accommodation out of his own pocket , how nice is that ...Nice to see someone giving a little back for a change ..

Was in Turners Cross last night.

Worst conditions I think I've ever seen for a LOI game. It was that bad.

Still nearly 4000 there.

People have really taken to the side.

W.R. Ihave 3 sons none who were good enough to play at the top level, but if they were i would have advice them to play for teams who,s jersys you would,nt see being paraded around the streets of dublin or else were, there so many good young players on the fringes of the top teams who you rearly see playing and never improve because they are stuck in contracts to the top clubs, some of there golden years of playing are lost . Apple the cork lads allways love there soccer, 4000 is a great crowd for a league of ireland game...p.s Did you hear the one about the dublin lad who was being tranfered to cork in his job, in anger he roared at his boss there nothing but brassers and hurlers in cork to which his boss replied my wife is from cork..the dublin lad looked at his boss and said i did,nt know that; tell me what position does she play.Grin
