The simple fact is concurrently on the same thread, Kavvie, Wonks and Tony were similarly evasive.

I repeatedly told them I would stand in and cover The Rock's liability if they could honestly say that they had transferred funds to Wonks specifically for the bet.  Anytime I posed this question, they shuffled around like children and pretended not to hear or understand the question.

When I pointed this out to you, Pa, you were too one eyed to condemn them.  So you shuffled round, and  pretended not to hear or understand the question.

Frankly, its pathetic behaviour from adults.

And another thing..harping on about this 7/4 price on Pa...it was clearly a provocative piss take to say we don't rate him....which frankly is borne out by his performance to date.

Thats just a technicality, the two lads are grown men dealing with a child,you know they would have paid.

It was the key technicality and the very basis on which the bet was agreed.

And anyway why not honestly answer the question posed and admit...no, we did not transfer money for this bet....just admit it and end the nonsense.

There have been bets between forum members before,one was dishonoured and that was years back.
These bets were generally small not your " 50K " stuff.

The most notable was a bet struck by Cheltenham Roar when he almost predicted the breeders cup race run by Fame And Glory I think,he said it would finish tailed off,it did struck a bet with Workrider then in true gallant fashion refused the money asked Workrider to donate the money to charity,which that honest gentleman honestly did.

Pa, The Rock told a Porky Pie, was caught out and immediately held his hands up. 

Borneo, the Rock is a smart operator, good luck to anyone taking 3/1 on the draw (true price is enormous).  He knew no one would back The Rat..the pricing was all about the insult contained in the 7/4 price on Lapsy.

As regards honouring bets, I lost a 300e bet on the rugby Forum some years back...there was none of this holding of funds  nonsense, i just paid the relevant Charity on justgiving where everyone can see.....Easiest way to settle..retains annonymity.  Of course you need to have a debit or credit card but then, unlike you, 99.9% people operate within the conventional banking system....And then you have the weirdo's who don't.

I told a fib to try and induce the truth out of Kavvie who had lied, i hold my hands up but no more a dishonest thing than Kavvie lieing to try and make a few bob, Pa changing the rules of the competition, Wildman pretending Pa can price races to laugh at him or even Workwrider not coming out and telling it as it is and saying Kavvie did not send the money to him. God if Kavvie is that desperate i would have just give him the money, that the kind of guy i am, generous to a fault. I was protecting myself and someone not trying to get one over on me.

bet is off.even though pa is winning.it would lead to the inevitable conclusion of tony and me getting screwed financially.we thought ye wernt as bad as ye are.sadly yere worse....a few weeks ago some one made a hash of an old saying...the correct version is never more apt in this case..."if you lie down with dogs you get up with fleas"
