Expecting my favourite horse in training My Tent or Yours to win giving weight away tomorrow at a short price. Hopefully the new headgear can entice him to settle, if it does, then maybe he can do next year what he should have done in March. It is a massive boost for the race that a horse of this calibre is running.

Apologies for continuing stating the obvious re the shorties, but Valdez looks a class apart in the 2:05 Grade 2 novice chase. The step up in trip should be taken in stride and is probably what he wants now anyway. The King horses have had a light winter with the well-publicised stable problems and he missed Aintree for this.  Eduard of Nicky Richards has been primed for this, but he is notoriously soft on his horses these days and I can see this fella being out-fought taking a big step up in class.

Really like Night of Thunder and Kingman at Newbury and a victory for either wouldn't surprise anyone, but I suspect the e/w terms might be favourable on Night of Thunder at 7/2. He'll handle the ground having won on soft, and looked a really strong traveller at Doncaster in back-end listed company giving no indication why he wouldn't get at least 7f. Hannon jr is looking to lay down a marker and the Hannon 3yos have been plenty forward this season. James Doyle has often mentioned the dearth of experience Kingman has managed to glean from two all to easy victories, Night of thunder hasn't been overextended either, but races very professionally and might know a bit too much.

Finally, In the 1:50 at Newmarket, Astonishing battered a fair fillies listed field at Newmarket by 7l last October sacrificing what would have been a handy mark of 92. That could have been job done for connections, but they keep these fillies in training for a reason, the good programme notwithstanding. Stoute has made his fastest start in years, and with no ground troubles and the promise of more to come.... 4/1 is probably fair.

Think Sam Winner will be hard to beat in the National. Crying out for the trip.

Having backed Berkshire for the Derby a long time ago, im not giving him up on him. Slightly disappointing on his last appearance, but he appeared to be climbing on the faster ground. He will be in his element tomorrow. Obviously no idea how forward he is relative to the others, and he is a big sort, but hopefully Cole has him tuned up.

My Tent looks a great bet at evens.

Sam Winner for me, Wanted him in the 4 miler at Cheltenham as he screams stayer imo, Nick Scholfield is a worry but he just needs to sit and get the horse settled.
Fill The Power wouldn't be the worst e/w bet either off 8lb lower than last year when coming 5th(Have to thank Tidal Bay for that)
The Unsub knows his way around Ayr and looks a fair price to take the Bumper(10/1 freely available)

Other than those I'd not be going too mad today.

Fred Couples is still 120/1. Seems to be an amazing price. I am going back in again with the option of trading out.
