Two good E/W chances at Thurles today.

El Mondo (3.20) @10/1.  Running well at the moment and is on a fair mark (20lb higer over hurdles). Question marks about all the others in the race but his consistency may be good enough.

Arctic Wolf (5.35) @ 6/1. In my view he has the best bumper form in the race. He finished third last time out when unfancied. In that race the jockey got badly interfered with in an early part of the race. He then went on to give the outside to nobody keeping the horse on the wide all the way around. The horse in front and the horse behind won better bumpers next time out.  I am sure All Hell let loose and On the Bike will be well fancied but I think Arctic Wolf is the one to beat.

gotchee,
ive took 9/4 for mullins bumper runner. although its stamina all in its pedigree, im told it should go close, and @9/4 its worth chancing it on debut..i like the sire, scorpion

Tony you will be in the minority of those that like that Sire.  Wont be heard of again in a couple of years.  Mullins horse is very ordinary.

Bigwill it wouldn't have to be out of the ordinary to win this bumper, but going by Mullins comments it looks like its going to be one for the weaker summer bumpers so the rain we had last night and today probably wasn't expected?.

There is a good few in it that have shown little bits of promise, the one I like at the prices if Mullins one fails to deliver is Sur La Mer showed some promise in a couple of maiden hurdles.

If the real Local Celebrity turns up in the first should have no problem taking care of that lot, but thats an if, and I'm not willing to take that chance.

Dushrembrandt 2.45 looks the obvious one with the Tyner stable firing in plenty of winners but Shamiran was no mug at his best over hurdles, will bounce back to form at sometime, but when today or next month?, no bet.

I really like Fiery Oscar in the 3.20, much the best of these over hurdles and might well be thrown in on his current chase mark?.

Prince of Lombardy 3.55 deserves to be fav his form is decent without been outstanding so with Knockrea a nr Spot Fine looks the proverbial ew bet to nothing, seems the safest option.

Sarah Battle 5.05 really should take care of this lot, on the face of it her 5th last time was a little disappointing but even that form would be good enough to win this and she rates as nap material, for those of us who like the safety net option 4/1 looks an ew steal.

I wonder which Mourad will turn up today?.

Stephen Mahon is a trainer I always look out for and he has two runners today in the 2.45 and 3.55.

Both have solid e/w chances and should run well today.

Matsukaze , is one that has been flying under the radar , lto at Fairyhouse he was never put into the race till it was all over ..Sure to improve from that run , and this trip is well in its compass...
