well, what can i say?its week of total abandonment, debauchery and general devilment.3 pts strike me.

1.tues was a disaster.we thought the new 1 was the real deal and lumped on.tbf to his pilot,he didn't panic and tried to nurse it back into the race.my gut feeling at the time was he got done for toe.it provided much fcking debate that night.Laughso i guess the jury is still out.

2.after been on the back foot ,we recover over wed and thurs.ride of the meeting goes to moore.coolness personified, ice in his veins and what a price.also getting annie power and big bucks beating.

3.so the whole meeting revolves around silviniaco conti.noel fehily gives it a peach of a ride ,did everything right and just was not good enough.

Horse and jockey injuries unfortunately clouded the 4 days sport , J R . Plus the hot pots failed to deliver generally , and if they oblige generally there is a positive response enjoyment wise ( happy punters expressing their views ) . Picking Irish winners this year was tricky , and the more exposed Irish horses with legions of followers failed to deliver .

Thought the Champion Hurdle was a great race  , with 4 of the top 5 in betting proving their mettle , but a messy race as it turned out , and may not stand the test of time result wise in different arenas .

For the future , the overall performance of Irish horses is a case for optimism in the foreseeable , but picking the right one is not getting any easier .

the bumper will trow up some nice sorts..shaneshill will be a 2miler imo..but the winner is the one..also black hercles ..that could be a 3m horse..

Not sure i'd share your optimission regarding the bumper Tony....not a race i'd run a horse with potential in unless it was 'only' a bumper horse as i expect the winner is.

The race only occasionally turns up anything out of the ordinary......tough race for a young horse.

Willie's two novices look exceptional of course and i would say the Ch was well above average..............other than that...........disappointing imo.

jr..I think the winner will be seen in listed races on the flat..and will run 'galway either flat or hurdles..won't run on ground worse than good so no chance for it to run after September imo..so they,ll make hay while sun shines..the mullins horses will be decent horses next year..the bumper rarely does not throw up 4-5 grade 1-2 types..i think this year will be the same for the irish..now over here only modus and def red look decent enough to contest good races although longsdons is better than it showed..

VERY WOODS RACE THINK  WAS GOOD RACE  DEPUTY DAN DEF  PROVED GOES ALL GROUNDS (AINTREE NEXT)

CH WAS IMO VERY HOT RACE

GOLD CUP WAS CRACKER  THINK IT SHOWED WHEN HORSE RUN ON GOOD (LITTLE BIT GIVE ) BRINGS THEM ALL TOGETHER

MULLINS TWO NOVICES  LOOKED EXCEPTIONAL AND VAUTEUR COULD BE  CLOSE TO FAV CH NEX YEAR

NED BUNTLINE  WAS SHADE UNLUCKY  BUT WHAT RIDE DAVY GAVE SAVELLO

SIRE DE GRUDGY (MY LAY) LOOKS TO HAVE LOT MORE TO COME

OFAOLINS BOY WAS EXCITING AS LOST SHOE AND ALSO TWISTED A SHOE COULD BE CG CUP CONTENDER

DEFF NEEDS GO BACK TO 3 DAYS AS FAR BETTER  AND  NOT AS DILUTED

Ned Buntline will struggle to win a good handicap.  He doesnt settle in his races and is a weak finisher.

my view is ,silviniaco conti didn't stay.tbh i thought it had bags of stamina.maybe it was the ground?something amiss with the stable?going to the last,it had them all beaten.i just dont know.

Not as strong a stayer as I thought either.

Fehily rode to beat Geraghty which he did. Couldn't have anticipated what was coming behind him.

Load of ordinary horses. Could see one of Willie's Novice Chasers Briar Hill, Annie Power or Faugheen running in the Gold Cup next season as what is coming up is poor enough.

20's Champagne Fever is big as well.
