Haven't looked back at Suntiep in detail as of yet, but it'll have to have been a fairly bad job to surpass Brian Hughes getting Attaglance beaten in the finale. Connections must be gutted. I know I am.

he was stone last the whole way round olc, the horse was actually in front a few yards after the line.

That was a bad one although surely not as bad as the ride Ataglance got in the last? The last 100 yards unfolded in my head as soon as he went for that gap on the inside and then after getting shut off, insisted on it!

I had no interest in either by the way SG.....would agree both bad rides but would like to see Suntiep's race again just to be sure. Did he make any mistakes and or get outpaced at a crucial time? Often the case with horses who end up running on.


Also not so sure about McCoy on My Tent or Yours.

Backed both the Tent and Suntiep, Patrick got it right most of the way.

McCoy has proceeded from butchering Jezki to butchering My Tent or Yours.

Jezki deserves it though he has really suffered under McCoy and Robbie Power.

McCoy is not for me on Grade 1 class horses that require finesse. Especially on quick ground. If it was anyone else, it would be time to try someone else on the Tent as McCoy cannot settle him. I'd have my life on him in a Chapion Hurdle with Ruby Walsh, Townend, Cooper or Paul Carberry. **** it even Denis O'Regan.

Mistake 2  out also bit closer to the front prob wuda won

Have to agree guys the jockey going for that inside run on attaglance was suicide, my buddy backed the winner after having a shocker of a day, so he wasn't complaining, and he's not one to roar horses home but he did this one.

Jockeyship was a huge factor in the outcome of races today. On fast ground things happen so quickly it is untrue. It is a world away from what is happening all winter.

attaglance was an awful ride. my tent needs a carberry ride and although im not scudamores biggest fan he gave that western warhorse a great ride. if ruby had won it there would have been no end of plaudits so fair play to tom.

Was called into the stewards about the ride but explanation was accepted

I'd rate the ride on Suntiep as being a far worse ride than Attaglance(and I backed the latter).PM did fine for the first half of the race and got his mount into a nice rhythm but why he did not make his ground steadily in the early part of the last circuit is beyond me.Hughes made a split second decision to go up the inside of the leader after the last...possibly because he was carrying his whip in his right hand.He could not have anticipated the winner would drift all the way over to the rail.Obviously it was a bad move but one which was made in an instant whereas PM spent most of the final circuit out of his ground and did nothing to rectify it.

Fair enough it was a split second decision but having committed to the inside he had to follow that course. His decision to redirect back to the outside was hastily made and a sure sign of panic and ultimately cost his horse the race, I don't think there's any doubt about that.

He wouldn't have got through by now if he was still persevering. From what I remember he went down the inside, got cut off yet refused to switch for an age. When he did come to the outside, it was about a 100 yards too late !!

He stood half a chance, reverting back to the outside he stood no chance. He found himself right up Present Views arse after the last and having made the initial decision to switch it was all about following through. Put it this way, there would be no way Walsh or BJG or any proper top jock would have re-altered their course again at that point

From what I recall there was no gap, no was there ever one.

There'd be no way any other jockey would have made the initial decision to steer the initial route
