Joined Betfair over 10 years ago and this forum was a place where opinions were exchanged with the goal of improving everyones knowledge, specifically regarding horseracing.
The few times I've been back in the last year or so confirms I was right to leave long ago.
Jesus wept but this place has gone downhill.
The namecalling. The shouting. The absolute certainty that any conversation which is not in agreement with a point of view demands urgent and over the top reaction.
I can get that from the knight of the road who drinks in the phonebox in town.

Best of luck to those who have an interest in sport rather than boggle eyed gibberings and spittle flecked rants.

I know whats coming too so have at it.

It's fairly certain in 10 years time we will look back on the forum, with a nostalgic tear in our eye, and say how much better it was 10 years ago.

And frankly if you don't like it, don't bother contributing or reading it.  Or, alternatively, make an effort to  improve it.  Anything bar sitting on the sidelines criticising it.

oz the man is entitled to that opinion, and to be fair he is right up to a point..some of the people on here are very obnoxious..and claim to know things about the game that they do not..KELLY used a word which imo is not used enough..BULLY..some on here including yourself at times..have tried to bully others who you do not agree with..or try to embarrass if they do not agree with what is being said..unfortunately..its social media..and its a sign of what the internet is...but it is also this forums good fortune to have some great people on here...and for me..the good outweigh the bad...

That's rich coming from you, Scouse Tony.  Everytime a Ratser selection fails, you become that very same bully and gleefully jump up and down highlighting the poor mans misfortune.  Do you not?  The three famous keyboard warriors, yourself, Dickie and Wonks congregate on his losing threads like insects around a light bulb.

I am sufficiently self aware to know that I am no angel on here, but I sometimes wonder if others, including yourself are capable of such self-assesment?

Here as long as you Patsy I tink (and longer than most for that matter).

Sorry to agree BUT it has been 'indy cline' for some time.....
....enjoyed the racing comps, etc and those 'in the know' punters who were pestered away by the tripe been spluttered.

Also the greedy Betfair shower may have somewhat killed it with their 'premium charges' in the last few years. (Certainly didn't help anyway).

I had a feeling you would drop Dickie and stick up for Wonks.

I also knew you would grasp at the mistaken belief that you operate from a defendable morally superior position.  Every time you gloat at Ratser you are guilty of instigation.  We have gone well beyond the issue of who fired the first shot.  You are kidding yourself if you think there is a difference.

Speaking of instigation, if you look at recent thread titles you can see that the main instigators are Wonks (with his Cleggy nonsense) and Borneo with his condemnation of Rocky and Ratsers occupations.  No surprise that you were the only forumite to bother relying to the latter.  Wonks thread was amusingly also ignored until TobyWong drew attention to the fact that it was ignored!

I humbly suggest you take a closer look in the mirror and consider your own behaviour before condemning others.

I have to say, I find Oz quite funny(in a good way), and I would rarely think there is any malice in his posts. A seriously good wind up merchant, would be a more apt description.  When things have got overly needly or personal on certain threads, he has sought to dampen the flames. Indeed he has told me off on more than one occasion for having a pop at RR, and without doubt he was right in his scolding!!

Obviously highly intelligent, a conversation with Ozy would interest me a hell of a lot more than some of the fu**in idiots across the forums.

I agree with ozymandius.....in 10 years time....they will be saying its unrecognisable from now......what do people expect anyway.....for people to tip them winners.....so geeks that they don't know can get on in front of themselves.....ffs......and when somebody does tip a few winners.....they are off opening a tipping line......even if I did know of a live horse.....theres no way in the world id tip it on here.....

Going back a few years if you were considered to have a bit of intelligence in school you were made to do latin,being the age that you were you couldn,t do much about it only go with flow and the beat of some CB,s strap in rhythm with declensions.

No expert on it Arkle and use it a bit maybe imaginating it but their golf markets were shocking last week(a couple of days after their results),up to then for a good while the prices matched herer but found generally a 1/3 less last week and not matching offers a tick or 2 less. Seems a bit better this week though and tbf noticed no difference with the horses.

This idiot solidifies the argument, as if it were needed.
I hardly need to point out the fact that he can't spell the horse's name and presumes that "l" comes before "d" when spelling the word "hurdle" but I do it for emphasis nonetheless.

I presume the creche won't allow my friend here out for the day, but regardless I wish the best of luck to absolutely everyone over the next week to ten days.

I think 10 yrs ago there was a sense that it was all new, and it was more friendly because people on here realised what a good thing they had compared to regular punters.
