Shouldn't be a problem if it's fresh.....if it isn't infected should be just a matter of applying a pad under the shoe for a few days...won't miss a lot of work if any.

KY HENDERSON reported that leading Champion Hurdle hope My Tent Or Yours was "perfectly sound" when led out on Wednesday morning following a foot injury scare on Monday.
RELATED LINKS His participation at Cheltenham was not thought to be in doubt and Henderson confirmed he remains on target for Tuesday's Stan James-sponsored championship event. "He was perfectly sound this morning, 100 per cent," the champion trainer told the Racing Post on Wednesday morning. "He'll have a swim later today because that's something he thoroughly enjoys and it's a nice morning for it. We're never out of the woods with something like this and it's a day to day thing but it was very encouraging to see him perfectly all right this morning." It is believed the near-fore minor puncture wound was sustained on Monday and the two-time Grade 1 winner has been eased slightly to 5-1 by most firms, having been a 9-2 shot. The New One and Hurricane Fly, disputing favouritism, were clipped in to a general 11-4 (from 3). |

Frank we get these scares every year, I take most of them with a pinch of salt trainers are renowned for putting out bogus injury scares gives them a ready made excuse if their horse runs a shocker or is beaten a short head he would've won only for the knock.
In this case MTOY might well have had a genuine knock, but such is the frequency of these scares leading up to a big race the cry wolf syndrome leaves many punters sceptical as to their authenticity. I'm sure we will have a few more before the week is out, worked poorly on Wednesday and then worked brilliantly on Sunday. |
