Super news - Irish cricket continues to reach new milestones.
gotta give em some credit - they have achieved some amazing results these past few years. this is yet another one.

Missed all that , tied up with the golf mainly . Sounds like it was good , they have been good value for anyone involved with them as a team . Well done .
Don't follow cricket myself, but I saw an interesting doc about its Irish origins on Setanta.
The conclusion seemed to be that a volte-face by a prominent GAA man who had loved his cricket killed it, but that Irish cricket then didn't fight hard enough to defend itself.
It's a pity as the game would sit very well side by side with hurling, much better than Gaelic football even. Probably a bit of a basic assertion, but I sense we could have been world-beaters at this.
These guys must be the most consistent overachievers in Irish sport and would put a lot of our other athletes in the shade in that sense.
