Backed Ireland outright here at 5/6. Think we could wind up more than the sum of our parts these days which is something we could never say before. Also, with that coach this should be the most streetwise team we have ever sent out tactically. Hopefully all the marginal gains under Schmidt should see us through in a match that is traditionally very close.

There is a fair battle going on with the former players for the RTE positions,Hook was embarrassingly fawning over O'Gara last week after being ignorant to Frankie Sheehan in the past.
Quinnie was battling for his life there, the on the sideline worked better with Pope taking the interviewer role rather than 2 novices. O'Gara should be interesting as the tournament goes on though, liable to say something he shouldn't. Tom Mcgirk needs to be put out of pasture. |

Cracking start, hopefully they can keep it going.

Fantastic stuff, hopefully we can be as ruthless and clinical in the second half,it drives me mental when Irish teams leave the door open historically but there seems to be massive belief in the camp now.

I know he was nowhere near nailing it, but Sexton must be brimming with confidence to attempt that. Ran the clock down nicely before kicking it too.

Hard to know what to make of that today, shambolic from Wales, no wonder Gatland labelelled it probably Wales's worst 6 Nations performance in his 6/7 years in charge.
Let's hope for some dry weather in Twickenham. We will have a different tactical approach against England and I am really looking forward to seeing this Schmidt team try and express itself. |
