A great step forward.  Wedding planners will now be able to plan their own weddings.

Can you imagine the devastation among the liberal elite if it was beaten.

The Skibbereen Eagle no longer keeping her eye on the Tsar, eyes now firmly fixed on Putin.

Hardly Borneo.

After all we don't have Abortion or straightforward Divorce in this Country, would it really be a surprise if the Old Farts and Catholic Church got together to continue to discriminate where the Constitutional rights of Gays are concerned?

PP 1/4 for it to pass and 5/2 not to.Although there was a 1/16 (with a day to go) shot turned over in the Seanad referendum for a variety of reasons. This is a certainty to pass, there will only be a small percentage of people with staunch views on it who will turn up to oppose this.

The turnout for the Seanad referendum was 39 % ,the spread line here is  47.5 % at the despicable odds of 5/6 each of two.

I vote for.

Anyone else for or against?  Dad's Army, what say ye?

It is much more difficult to obtain a divorce in Ireland than in other jurisdictions.

And must be separated 4 years to obtain one also!

That's typical,its never enough.
Ye made us keep voting til ye got the right result, then ye won by less than one percent.

If we get some of those Imams that Ozymandius so admires to come out demanding a no vote we might have a chance plus watching those liberals who normally accede to such request twist and turn in hypocrisy and fear would be a delightful side effect.

Have no fear that any Imams will vote this in , in fact i'd say their followers will be told in no uncertain terms how they should vote , Foggy loves to rant and rave about the Catholic  Church and her defects , yet not a word is spoken against Islamics  , homosexuals ,  who in some cases are put to death , i.e .one of those African ISlamic nations , never mind the terrible hardship our poor lads have to put up with , can you believe the hurt they experience when someone calls them ****s ..God help them that is brutal...

All that hurt, have no doubt some legal firm will sue the State for this discrimination shortly.

Nasty people calling them names, not allowed marriage surely worth a hundred grand in compensation.

Speaking of compensation, Borneo, from a recent edition of the Pink Times, I see the RTE boss mad an €85k payout to Catholic anti-gay marriage group over ‘homophobe’ row.

I object strongly to that compensation being paid.

In politics you should expect robust debate,it certainly shouldn't be compensatable.

Our politicians love doling out compensation but they prefer receiving it and they have received millions in dubious cases.

A Labour TD received compensation for army deafness, this gentleman never fired a weapon but was in the FCA band.
A Labour leader settled with himself when his driver died at the wheel,it was a generous settlement.
A senator cycled into a hole naturally sued got substantial compensation despite not missing a days pay from his two jobs.

All the time you were screaming about multiple user names you hypocritically had same.

Your long laborious battle with Fordy was famous for the length of time you spent on it,sixteen hour stints usually we now find they were even longer as Poorpup was in the thick of it as well.

Never Give Up had plenty of mental problems seems we can add schizophrenia to the list.

The pot-hole cyclist is a sickening hypocrite (nothing to do with his sexuality).
Lecturing on the waste of tax-payer's money coming from rte's 85 k payout when he extorted the state of 16 years of illness benefit from Trinity while a sitting senator.Lecturing about ethics and Tubridy giving him a free ride.

yeah thats the problem with tubridy.everthing is a love in with him.hes incapable of asking the hard questions.the only time i saw him being robust was with cowen.he took him apart.if he continues with this type of bullsh1t(cosy interviews) the show is doomed.
