Lovely big horse but dangerous to be parting with money at that price in beginners chase. Probably out for a mark
Am laying the top two in the first. Ones a dodge and the other has had a few hard races. Either way not going to do much damage. Laying Sugar Bullet in second race. Good luck to myself! |

Gort an chonic is the one that I liked in this race e/w.
He is a winning point to pint horse so he might make a better chaser than hurdler. Looks an open race as already stated on here and might try a reverse forecast with him and turica. |
By:
Its possible he is , but at practically no cost he could win me nearly enough £8oo so worth a little dapple , thinking of laying Mcnichonson in the 2.35 , jessies right out of form....
By:
Horse has not got home the few times i have looked at him. Hard puller.
Think Moreece could have a chance. |
By:
agreed workrider annie oakley has been her only winner in a couple of months ....really think Sychronicity 2/1 has to be the one here ....Was well backed each way against a mullins hotpot on heavy ground at cork . stuck to the task well pulled right away from the rest ...Fentons is useless and jessie as we say out of form

By:
Will throw a few quid ew on Malt Gem in the 3.35-have followed him closely since KL put him up before his run in Limerick at Christmas 12 months ago. Davy gave him too much to do last time out here and he might be worth a shot in an open hcap. GL lads.

Two brilliant winning rides today.
Brian Cooper supreme on Don Poli who fought him all the way,a reluctant beast. The fact he beat Davy Russell will please both himself and Gigginstown. Jane Mangan supreme on Victoria Hill,he was a game and willing partner but she managed to galvanise him when Measureofmydreams looked set to sail past |

Well done Dinglemick...

As an aside , I see Tony Martin is now training Oscars Well , was there a fall out....?
By:
Harrington's record with 'good' horses has not been that great these last few years. First job will be to get Oscar's below the 140 mark!
Pathfork, Oscars Well, Boston's Angel, Jetson and now Jezki showing signs!! Also lost that good McManus horse, Jenari I think it was. |
By:
Neill , i think Pathfork was sold to the usa could be wrong , and if memory serves Jenari died....
By:
Yeah, should have added Jenari was unlucky. Wasn't it that Pathfork didn't train on or something. Just seems that her promising horses aren't amounting to what they might of late. I'm probably being very unfair re Jezki.
I'd have thought she'd have had a nice bit of ammo after Moscow Flyer and Macs Joy and while she has gone okay, it might have been better? I remember backing one of hers at Dundalk 2 or 3 years ago, it was a strongish fav, he got nutted by her second string with an SP of 33's. Just my impression but I've never thought it the most shrewd of yards in terms of knowing what they have. I always thought she could train a good horse but now just as sure these last few years. |

Is O'Donoghue back for the year WR? That winner out of the Giants causeway mare seemed to love that surface, not a good race but he should go on and take another one round there you'd think. Nice few quid landed too.

She buys a lovely stamp of horse i'll give her that , stable hasn't really fired for a few seasons ...Maybe the dreaded virus has raised its ugly head...P.S...Shane Foley just ridden to sleep in the last at dundalk...
By:
Will watch it again wr as had my eye on the winner, I found his pedigree interesting. I expected Amadeus Wolf to do better than he has done. He might have just received his Certerach cheque today and is thinking of how he'll spend it!!
That is the phrase, they haven't been firing. Going to keep an eye on Jetson as the spring ground might enliven him and he has a good big handicap record at the various festivals. Seconds at Chelts and Aintree to his name. |
By:
Maybe Oscars Wells is not very good these days?, many good novice hurdles don't cut the mustard over the bigger obstacles.
By:
Yeah, could be that as well. a lot of his reputation is based on two runs, the Deloitte and the Neptune which both came in a very short space of time. If we look at the Neptune, which is his most famous moment. First Lieutenant is very good but finds it hard to win in what isn't a vintage era for staying chasers, then you've the likes of So Young and Megastar around him who haven't really done that much. But he looked like he'd be a better chaser and he finished 2 lengths behind a champion hurdler that day in Rock on Ruby so to me he is an underachiever.

^^^But that might be the trainer's fault, the yard is quiet though even at the weekday meetings.
