shocking on noble call there wr imo....was a crazy price for a 32 race maiden
Report neill d January 24, 2014 10:12 PM GMT
He probably got out of his ground on Noble Call but the winner won so easily it made no difference really.

Be staggered if still in this job next season - giving a hell of a lot of bad rides
Report pa lapsy May 14, 2014 6:33 PM BST
He seems to be finishing fast a lot after holding them up a little too far back, not in the right place there either, found trouble in a small field. Surely ought to take the handicap if not trying to be too clever.

Will the other son be a jockey or should I say when will he be a jockey, his age?
Report punchestown May 14, 2014 6:52 PM BST
Having reviewed the head on in fairness to the lad he had nowhere to go on Dick Whittington without getting himself a ban.
Report paulie wallnuts May 14, 2014 6:56 PM BST
he had nowhere to go because he tracked the only horse in the race that had no chance for 5f.......that's why the moron had nowhere to go......you could see from early in the race he was going to be in bother.....
The only way he can be effective is if he makes the running on the best horse in the race......hes another jockey that will never win a race he shouldn't.....
Report punchestown May 14, 2014 7:08 PM BST
There appeared to be plenty of room early so your talking hindsight,Toscanini having missed the break quickly made its ground to track the winner for most of the race and followed him through so JPOB would have had to pull 3 wide to get by on the outside which in hindsight would have been probably enough as he had plenty of horse but he thought a gap was going to appear in front.

Punchestown.......a couple of questions......did the best horse get beaten....yes.....had it a ton in hand....yes.....how many horses met with interference......one......how many horses tracked lupie.....one.....
Report kavvie May 14, 2014 8:04 PM BST
paulies right on this occasion
Report punchestown May 14, 2014 8:06 PM BST
Best horse was 2nd,no argument, just think it was a bit of bad luck that he got collared in,I've watched it back a few times and he would have won if he pulled it around Toscanini and went wide but sat and suffered, not saying he rode a good race but it was not as easy as it looked from our armchairs.
Report paulie wallnuts May 14, 2014 8:38 PM BST
He gave masai an identical ride at the last meeting.....was in the same position and threw that race away too.....he was awful on Geoffrey Chaucer last sunday.....you can see from early in these races that he will be lucky if he gets a run......a lot of his riding is luck dependent......the better jocks don't depend on luck as much.....as they are always correctly positioned......
Now he has a nice sit and is far from being in the francis martin category......but when you back him and he isn't in the first two in a race.....then anything is possible.....

Hayes rode him to sleep in the last..
Report irish_guy_13 May 18, 2014 6:09 PM BST
disappointing alright.
Report callitasucit May 18, 2014 7:20 PM BST
Joseph done nothing wrong in the last. I haven't watched it again, but did take an interest at the time. Table Rock was produced to win his race, but didn't because he is a pure mongrel. Last time out his head was higher than Peaches Geldof, and the blinkers had little effect on him today.

Joseph has given his share of bad rides lately, but I wouldn't hold him accountable for that pig getting beat.
Report paulie wallnuts May 18, 2014 9:04 PM BST
id say the jury is out on table rock myself.....looked a bit of a dodge in fairness.....thought joseph o brien rode well today.....credit where its due.....one chap who didnt ride great was Niall McCullagh......talk about being out of your depth.....its easy to see why Murtagh isnt having winners this year......and as long as this situation remains its not going to get any better......
Chris Hayes was fantastic on the last winner.....and is a truly outstanding jockey......

Naas not his track.Especially when he drops them in.

Oink.. Oink..Pig has lost the swine label.
Report paulie wallnuts June 2, 2014 8:26 PM BST
That was a good performance by table rock today......looked a transformed character and is improving rapidly......
Report The Gotchee June 2, 2014 11:04 PM BST
Its a pity you couldn't transform.
