ShockedShockedShockedShockedShockedShockedShockedShockedShockedShockedShockedShockedShocked

Had this Ballydoyle inmate  in my horse tracker after i thought he looked decent when winning a maiden on his second start at Navan with Waheeb 6 lengths back in second and a further 12 lengths to the third .....

A half brother to triple oaks winner Alexandrova i get email this morning to say he is declared tomorrow in maiden hurdle for Paul NolanShockedShocked

A lovely bit of form Dingle and another nice line is having Katie T well behind in his first race,Mullins Ivan and the Moore horse look the dangers but your fella certainly won,t be the 12/1 he is on the atr site. GL

Why don't all the owners just send all their horses to Willie Mullins and we can have 80 runner maiden hurdles all trained by the messiah of jump racing and all our woes will be cured in an instant.
Report dj876 January 17, 2014 2:55 PM GMT
How the heck is that relevant?Surely you can restrict your hatred of WPM to the other 50 threads on here.
What I don't understand is that they're parts of WPM's operation that are deserving of criticism but you just ignore these and bang on about the same stuff for years and years.

I think dinglemicks original post was a cut at Paul Nolan, notice the wide mouth smileys?
Report pa lapsy January 17, 2014 3:03 PM GMT
Doubt it Silver, more surprised that gone from AOB after looking fairly decent and ending up in a maiden hur with current trainer.
Report silvergreaser January 17, 2014 3:10 PM GMT
Maybe I'm wrong pa but I thought a few happy smileys might have been more appropriate?.
Report silvergreaser January 17, 2014 3:12 PM GMT
Actually when I think of it I probably did jump the gun, dinglemick was probably shocked it was entered for a maiden hurdle and didn't realise it had left Ballydoyle, my sincere apoligies if thats the case mick.

He was bought by Nolan for 50k. It is a bit strange that he was gelded before his first run because he has a stallions pedigree. He looks a quirky sort to me.
Report Tolmi January 17, 2014 3:32 PM GMT
Bought by Nolan for £50k at Tatts.Wore blinkers at Navan which possibly accounts for what appears a relatively low selling price.
Report Tolmi January 17, 2014 3:32 PM GMT
Sorry I hadn't seen the previous post.
Report pa lapsy January 17, 2014 3:36 PM GMT
He is quirky alright The Gotchee though fairly talented, very stop/start on debut, blinkers next time didn,t almost stop him running out passing the post 1st time at Navan, normally could see JP buying an AOB ex inmate but not here. Maybe the lack of tackle is in the horses interest to further his career?
Report The Gotchee January 17, 2014 3:36 PM GMT
If Ballydoyle let him go for 50k, he must have some issues.
Report paulie wallnuts January 17, 2014 4:46 PM GMT
and the biggest issue he has now is where hes housed......somebody said earlier it wont be 12/1.....it will and the rest......
Report pa lapsy January 17, 2014 8:43 PM GMT
I said it Paulie and your comment may be right about the price, not sure about the the rest part as honestly to me has a chance though rather than the trainer twas the look around going out on the last circuit despite a hood that worried me,very mindful if it made a mistake it would be liable to do anything. Maybe it would have to try and lead all the again like last run?
Not too enamoured with Elliots horse and Mullins other runner, despite being a bit hyped Indian Icon was disappointing last time.
With Ivan being near odds on,not sure if Sea Beat should be the price he is and could be a possible alternative place bet rather than a win on Ivan. Sardinia is certainly the joker in the pack.
Report wildmanfromborneo January 17, 2014 9:11 PM GMT
Sardinia is a slow horse with a slight aversion to bends.

I don't know if he was a gelding when he ran on the flat but he is now so might have his mind on the job.

They will be travelling a lot slower so those quirks might not be as noticeable.

Aklan cost thirty grand ( I know it was Willie Mullins ) but Aidan OBrien is not like Vincent and doesn't mind selling them on.
Report neill d January 17, 2014 9:50 PM GMT
Was that Aklan deal 30 cash and 70 under the table?, didn't think the Aga Khan would go in for that kind of thing.
Report neill d January 17, 2014 9:59 PM GMT
He is probably to0 good now perhaps, but one I always though JP might try and take for hurdling is Ernest Hemmingway. Last season he probably stepped up enough that he has avoided it but he is too backward to be a commercial stallion and their NH wing looks chocka these days. I expected he'd head to DeKock this winter.

Nick Mordin has given him some astronomical speed figures and as he is staying around, I wonder might he be their Ascot Gold Cup horse next season. Might have a small go on that ante-post in the coming months.

He hasn't been gotten rid of so they must think highly of him and there really isn't any other route to go with him as I don't think he'd have been kept about to mop up 14f Group 3's. He's been on everyones radar since that strange dundalk debut and it wll be interesting to see what he does next season, they seem to have only just learned how to make best use of him.
